"The property has great views of the lake and is convenient to get to if you have a car. If not you have to take the boat to get to the hotel. The only problem we had during our stay was the limited options of food available as there are no restaurants nearby besides the hotel restaurant."

"The hotel and general area was very peaceful. The hospitality was great, and the staff made us feel right at home. The view from the hotel is amazing, being close to both the mountains and the lake. It was also very convenient to drive to beautiful cities, such as Bern, Thun, the local Brienz, and Grindelwald is also not too far. Certainly has a more cottage vibe, but it adds to the experience. Would 10/10 recommend for an authentic Swiss experience."

"We were welcomed with a drink on the beautiful balcony while they brought our bags to the room. The room was spacious and air conditioned, however; the comforter was heavy. The breakfast was wonderful. A very nice buffet with an incredible view. They even had mimosas! The spa and outdoor tub looked nice but we did not use. We would definitely stay here again. "

"The location of this lodge, at the base of the Eiger mountain as well as Grindelwald terminal was perfect! My daughter and I had an amazing time. "I spent Christmas at Hotel Brienz. Breakfast was extensive and very organised and had a nice Christmassy feel as music was playing in the breakfast room. My bedroom was a superior double room on the corner of the hotel. One window looked out on the mountains and the balcony looked out on Lake Brienz. So beautiful. I was also very happy that the TV in my room had English channels on like ITV and BBC so I could watch the Gavin and Stacey finale 😁"

"This quaint hotel was perfect and charming. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. It’s a little off the beaten path so if you’re looking for a getaway from the tourists areas, this is a perfect quiet spot with amazing views. Because you are higher up on the mountain, the sun shines brightly on this hotel. I visited some of the other hotels nearby and doing the staff to be quite rude. Would definitely recommend this hotel over others in the area. "
