"We had a most delightful two day stay at the Casa do Santo. Our wonderful host, Maria was full of local and historical knowledge and made us feel very welcome. Many generations of her family have tended the winery upon which this beautiful boutique hotel is built. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with beautiful views of the vineyards. "We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta da Marka! It was beautiful and on such a picturesque spot along the river. It was so relaxing and a restful spot for our honeymoon. The train station is nearby to get to other cities if you wanted to, otherwise it is quite isolated in this area. Walking over to Quinta do Crasto for a wine tasting & tour was a highlight of the area too! The Quinta offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner which was very convenient. "This place is way, way off the beaten path. It was extremely disappointing the location this time of year. My daughter and I choose not to stay after learning that there were no amenities close by. Communication of exactly what to expect would he beneficial in choosing this place. We left anbhour after arriving, because we were both so uncomfortable "

"Wonderful stay. The view is amazing. Smaller vineyard compared to the big and more popular wineries in the area, which is what we like. The drive up is beautiful. About 35 minutes from Pinhao downtown. Moises greeted us and gave us the tasting tour. We didn’t expect to learn such an amazing family history of the people and the farm. Filipa brings us wonderful organic breakfast to our door every morning. You can see her working around the farm from early morning."
