Place is clean and room is bigger than most. However, that means that they left a very minimalist bathroom with all essentials with only the space needed for every amenity. Best part of the hotel is that it is walking distance from the central train station.
cheap rate, simple and clean room, friendly staff who can speak enough English, easily walk from Sendai JR station or bus. The late check-in of 3pm is only issue if arriving early in the morning, but of course you can leave your bags securely with them.
Although we only stayed one night we enjoyed stopping over here. The hotel is very handy to the Railway Station and so it is very central. We arrived at mid-day to be told we could not have access to our room until 3pm but after a little pleading and a short wait in the lobby, we were given early access which we greatly appreciated so four stars for service on that front. The room was not big but was large enough and comfortable. The bed was queen size and we liked that you could open the window for some fresh air. During the night we found the fridge quite noisy so we turned it off but come morning the contents were still cold. As we had a late departure from Sendai, the staff held onto our bags after check-out (10am) which we again appreciated. This was the last of our 19 nights and some dozen or so hotels in Japan and this place won the prize for having the smallest bath and modular bathroom of them all - but it was still suitable for showering.
Convenient location
Very helpful staff, very courteous, we were lent umbrellas when it rained, and were given a tray for a late evening snack, out of regular hours, and beyond the call of duty
Friendly staff, excellent location, good price, clean and efficient hotel. Tiny rooms.
I'd just come from a hostel in Tokyo so was used to small rooms, but for a smart-looking hotel this was unexpected. Barely room to step round my (admittedly oversize) suitcase once I'd laid it out on the floor. Certainly couldn't open the suitcase and the bathroom door at the same time.
perfectly suitable for short stay in Sendai, central and easy to find, good price and normal pleasant Japanese service, front desk spoke enough English to make communication easy.
We stayed in Sendai for 24 days, all of them at the Chisun. It was wonderful. We have never traveled for that long of a period ever and the staff and management at that hotel were so warm and gracious, we felt is was like a home away from home. The location to Sendai couldn't be better. 4 Minutes to the Central station by walking. Probably a 100 places to eat within a 5-10 minute walk. The morning breakfast buffet was a great meal for the price. They are not big luxurious rooms with a lot of space to sit around, but for sleeping, and doing work at desk, it was the best we found. Since most of our time was outside of the room except for sleeping and bathing, I would not even consider staying ANYWHERE ELSE but the Chisun. If I stay in another city that has a Chisun, I will stay there too.
This was a good inexpensive choice near the Sendai train station. I stayed two nights. One disappointment was the TV remotes were very complicated and I could not find any English channel.
Budget business hotel in Sendai. Clean and simple.
Very Japanese - compact and efficient. Clean and "good enough". It is one of a big chain hotel group (Chisan hotels) and a typical business hotel in Japan.
Staff was polite and efficient. No frills. No restaurants (except for breakfast which we did not have). Not much entertainment in the hotel itself. There are many other hotels in the neighborhood but this may be the most safe bet for travelers who want to be economical.
Bathroom is so-called "unit bath" which is molded plastic unit bath. It is small and tight. It was good enough for shower but not for bathing. Toilet is a part of the molded unit - not bad but small. I have not checked accessible room. This room's bathroom was 8 inch higher than the room.
Neighborhood - nothing special. 7-Eleven around the corner. Only 5-7 min from Sendai station and there are many restaurants and bars within walking distance like 10 mins. Very convenient.

Pay a bit extra to go somewhere else.
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during the New Year holidays. I have lived in Japan for about 2 years and have stayed in many hotels across Honshuu. This was the worst one I have come across here.
The bedroom of the hotel was standard Japanese size, but the bathroom was exceptionally small (smaller even than the one I used to have in my tiny Tokyo apartment). The temperature of the shower was difficult to guage and changed while I was showering, either to very cold or very hot. There was no working fan in the bathroom and water collected in the ceiling which dripped down from it all day from a trap door. We opened it up to get the water out and a ton of it dumped out all over me. The room was somewhat clean, but the fridge was disgustingly dusty. The main bedroom light was really dim and made it difficult to get ready in the morning. The lighting in the bathroom was good, but the dripping ceiling prevented me from being able to use the sink area.
After we checked out, the hotel phoned me to accuse me of taking a pair of their slippers. They kept me on the phone while they checked and found them. We never touched the slippers our entire stay, so it was pretty strange that they could not locate them. Needless to say, we will never go back there.
We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. Few minutes walking distance to Sendai Stn. Close by are convenience stores. Food & transportation are no problems as they are close to the hotel.
In good location but the room is tiny, so is the toilet/bathroom. We had 2 reasonable sized suitcases, we couldn't find enough space to open them up, apart from the miniscle size, the room is clean & comfortable.
We went to Sendai for an international music competition---not for tourist reasons. We wanted an econical hotel because of needing to reserve for two weeks. We also wanted a good location---easy walk to the train station, very important in Japan! We loved the staff, and the room was typical Japanese: very small, with all of the essentials. American standards of comfort are different from Japanese, but we opted for authenticity. We loved the continuous flow of Classical music, the helpfulness of the staff, the easy walking distance to shopping and transportation---bus and train. You do not need a car at this location! If you are a big person, this is not the hotel for you. We would definitey go back.
The hotel was very conveniently located near the train station and shopping area, which was nice because we had big bags to carry. Although a slight distance from the historical sites. It was a very clean and well kept hotel with excellent staff and service.
We stayed in quite a few different cities in Japan and this hotel had the most polite staff out of any hotel. Would definitely stay here any time we return to this city. Close to a 7-11 and Lawsons stores that were open 24 hours so we bought food for breakfast instead of the hotel breakfast for 1000 yen. The bathroom sink, toilet, and shower were crammed into about a 5 square foot space, but the plus side is that it had a nice bidet and the shower pressure rocked. Also shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were abundant. I wouldn't take any of that with me. This hotel was very clean and was quiet all night. Loved it. Would recommend it for anyone that isn't 7 feet tall.
We stay in the hotel for 2 nights. It was a mistake. Room so small it just fit a double bed. The old TV has a 17" screen. Aircon was not working. Window can't open. No sound insulation at all.
