"We upgraded to the Grasmere room for a bit extra cost. Fabulous uninterrupted views over the river to the cathedral.superbly comfortable bed. Conrollable heating and windows that open. Complete peace and privacy- Perfect staff throughout. A coutesy shuttle bus to town We recommend this hotel!"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was tasy and well presented. There was a problem with the radiators in our room, but the hotel gave us a fan heater. There was no hook on the bathroom door. This needed to be replaced. We had a room looking out onto the main road, but it was not noisy. The room was beautiful, especially as we like oldy worldy furniture and atmosphere. The Christmas decorations were all taken down by breakfast on New Year's Day, which was a shame. Otherwise all was well. We would stay there again and reccommend The Chapter House to others."
