Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Our stay at Tirta Naga Villa was disappointing due to several maintenance and cleanliness issues. While the property has a beautiful layout and is conveniently located near Seminyak’s main street and restaurants, the experience was marred by multiple problems.
We found cockroach droppings on the bed, indicating an infestation. Woke up to a cockroach in the bed, and dead bugs were found under the bed, thus inadequate cleaning.
The villa had a mosquito problem, and we couldn’t use the bathrooms without getting bitten.
Air conditioning was old and emitted a damp smell, and there was little lighting in the second room. The toilets were dirty, especially the second room’s toilet, which had peeling concrete. The pool caused a reaction in my eyes, likely due to inadequate filtration and cleaning, as it resulted in red, painful, blurry eyes.
The kitchen was poorly equipped: the microwave didn’t work, the toaster was filthy, and the stove ignition malfunctioned. Further, poor lighting in the kitchen and inadequate cooking utensils.
The caretaker, Augus, was hardly available. After greeting us on the first day, he claimed to attend a wedding on the second day and then said he was unwell on the fourth day, meaning the rooms were only cleaned once during our five-day stay. When he did clean, he entered the villa without warning, which was a sudden invasion of privacy.
Despite the villa's potential, the lack of maintenance and cleanliness made our stay unpleasant to say the least.
