I chose this hotel based on reviews that mentioned how quiet it was—and it definitely delivered on that. The location is fantastic: walking distance to everything, and the rooms are modern and recently updated, which was exactly what I was looking for.
However, my experience took a turn when I arrived just after midnight on February 22, 2025. The staff was friendly and promptly showed me to my room, but once I took a look around, I noticed spider webs and spiders near the nightstand and even a bug on my pillow. It felt like the room hadn’t been properly cleaned for a while—possibly due to the low season.
I asked the staff the next morning to deep-clean the room and replace the pillow, and they did respond quickly and took care of it. Unfortunately, that night I noticed another bug on the pillow. I sent a photo to some friends to make sure I wasn’t overreacting, and they all agreed—it looked like a bedbug. I also looked online and, sadly, the pictures matched.
I uploaded a photo so you can judge for yourself. If it weren’t for the bedbug issue, I would’ve easily rated this place 5 stars. It has so much going for it—but cleanliness, especially when it comes to bedding, is a non-negotiable for me.
