beautiful, spacious , well equipped home on lake with stunning views and sun exposure all day on multiple docks. 2 kitchens! private suite at boathouse was ideal for the newliweds in our family!
This is a stunning and ideally located property with acres of space and places to enjoy the view. Whether you enjoy sun or shade, you’ll find your spot to relax, indoors or out. The sandy, shallow beach area for toddlers and younger kids to play was a favourite feature. We spent most of our time here and on the expansive dock next to it. The boathouse has another dock in a quiet bay for easy access to kayaks, canoes, paddle boards etc. If you’re renting a boat, I highly recommend you get on a paddle board and look around the back bay so you can chart your path in and out of the boathouse dock. We did ding a prop but it was an easy fix and Hamer Bay Marina was excellent to deal with. We enjoyed the newly added hot tub after dark however the weather that week was very hot so we only used it once. The cottage is very rustic, traditional and well-equipped. We were unable to use some of the spaces like the games room in the loft and the bedroom in the boathouse due to the excessive heat. This didn’t dampen our enthusiasm for the property. There’s no place to store garbage outside so if you don’t want to share your vacation with bears, you’ll have to to keep it inside or bring it to the local dump which is a quick drive. No need to be worried about bears. You won’t see them as long as there’s no food left outside to attract them. One last thing, our host was very welcoming, responsive and flexible. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely recommend this cottage.
The pictures don't do this property justice. Everything exceeded my expectations—the cottage itself, the outdoor docks, decks, activities, patios, and trails were all fantastic. Chris was very kind and helpful, answering all my questions promptly. I will definitely be coming back!
The cottage was better than advertised. Perfect place for a group getaway. Multiple docks with different sun exposures & two kitchens were highlights - made cooking & cleaning much more manageable. Chris & his property manager Dave were very communicative & easy to reach. Would definitely recommend.
This place is an absolute oasis! Headed up for the long weekend and had an incredible time. Place is huge and very well equipped with everything from outdoor fire places to water activities.
Would head back in an absolute heartbeat!
Having been a cottage person my entire life and owning my own place for the last 25 years, I pretty much know what we wanted; this place was perfect! It’s well-maintained, incredibly well-equipped, on a very private peninsula at the north end of Lake Joe. The road is good into the place, caretakers David and Susan were always available, though we didn’t really ever need them. Layout is perfect for two families or an extended family or for people with houseguests. It was a great experience for our winter getaway.
Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect! It was a winter wonderland setting outdoors with many warm gathering spaces indoors. We enjoyed long walks, great meals, fun games and cozy reading around the fireplaces. Cottage provided all the comforts of home and much more, and we sincerely appreciated some friendly assistance from the local caretaker as an early morning snowfall made our departure up the driveway a little slippery. Thanks for your hospitality!
We weren't able to travel for Christmas so instead we booked this cottage for our Toronto "bubble" as a short getaway for our family. The cottage was incredible -- quiet and serene. Lots of spaces for folks to congregate but also find a quiet spot for privacy. Everything was clean and well-placed. Dave and Chris were awesome to communicate with - timely and accurate. We look forward to staying here again - perhaps during the summer. The pictures don't do the place justice.
Dave the property manager met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the cottage so we felt comfortable and Dave was able to answer any questions we had about the cottage. A beautiful place that is almost like two cottages in one.
Awesome property, great amenities and perfect for a group or multiple families... Dave and Susan are amazing caretakers.
I will definitely rebook asap...

Family fun—making memories
It worked beautifully for our family. Real rambling cottage feel and lots of private areas to relax. Three refrigerators handy and canoes, paddle boards and peddle boats available. Upper loft area not finished yet but still a great spot for kids to go for nighttime movie. Very comfortable . Furniture has a relaxing cottage feel. Great views and swim areas.

Perfect Location!
This large beautiful rustic family cottage has fantastic views off the point with perfect dock and walk in areas (several) to the lake. Chris - the owner - was outstandingly helpful and really great to deal with. Dave - the caretaker - was there when we arrived and showed us around. Both gentlemen were very responsive and so willing to assist. Our family weekend there was amazing and we will never ever forget it! Thanks Chris!

Excellent location ! Perfect place for a family gathering! Clean and extremely well equipped. Superb
We had a wonderful time and our family from overseas was extremely impressed with the property . We were able to experience an amazing Canadian holiday in beautiful Muskoka . The house is very well equipped and the owner explained every single detail very nicely via e mail or manuals at the house . Thanks Christopher for this wonderful opportunity! Your house is very welcoming and we hope to return soon . The views are incredible! and the way the little peninsula is positioned is just perfect for sunrise and sunsets . Kayaks , canoe, paddle boards , can't ask for more! Great memories ! Thanks again for allowing us to stay .

Muskoka at its best!
This property celebrates the magic of Muskoka - what it was and what it continues to be. There are very few places left in Muskoka that retain that connection to the land, water, and nature. This cottage is one of them!
I rented the cottage for a month to collect my family from 5 countries ranging in age from 3-89! The cottage was everything I imagined and more! It is well maintained and beautiful and if you love to cook - you will be in heaven!
We are a family of swimmers - rain or shine we made full use of the lake! It is the best water anywhere!
Chris was great to work with and he and the operations manager were both accessible and attentive.
My only caution is that you will not want to leave!

10 out 10. As always.
As repeat guests at this cottage we were just as pleased as we have been in the past. The new main shower was a welcome and lovely surprise. The grounds were beautiful and the new canoes and paddle board along with the kayaks were used by all of us. 2018 and 2019 are already booked. Our family can't wait to return.

Ideal for a winter family retreat.
The cottage is well-equipped and spacious, sleeping 10 comfortably. However, it is the location and orientation of the cottage on a point of land overlooking the white pines and the frozen lake, visible through the generous placement of windows throughout the cottage, which makes this property so special. Add the ambiance of a warm crackling fire in either of the two large stone fireplaces (with ample split firewood readily available) and you have the setting for a wonderful family retreat. We also enjoyed the ping pong table and cross-country skiing and walking in the woods on our cold but sunny weekend. Thanks for the memories.

Far exceeded our expectations!
We rented the Robinson cottage with a group of 12 to celebrate our cousins 40th. This property is absolutely stunning!
With well maintained decks, expansive natural landscape and direct access to lake, it was a total luxury to unwind in. The house itself was very impressive: large common area with open concept modern kitchen, a second kitchen adjoining the games room that had an entire wall of windows facing the lake, clean large and bright bedrooms, modern and spotless bathrooms, impressive sound system with speakers placed strategically throughout house and on deck, and a beautiful boathouse with a terrace and bedroom resembling a hotel suite.
Most importantly, we had a very positive experience with the owner from the time of booking to departure. Chris was professional, warm and responsive to our questions and needs. We treasured our stay at the Robinson cottage and are most definitely planning on returning!
