"A lovely little cabin by a lake at the back of the owner's house (great distance between. Felt secluded and peaceful. Was great waking up and feeding the chickens, guinea fowl, geese and ducks with a cup of tea looking at the lake. A great spot to unplug and relax. Fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, central heating, cooker, kettle etc. a few more utensils would be handy. Highly recommend a stay here and the owners, Amanda and Barry are friendly, helpful and good folk."

"The setting was beautiful as was the lodge for the most part, only complaints are the pull out bed in the living room and would of been nice if the hosts warmed the cabin up before arrival"

"A lovely property exactly what we expected from the photographs but the view was unexpected and really added to our stay. The property was convenient to most things that we needed and we had a great weekend. Danielle was very responsive and made sure that everything was perfect for my birthday weekend. "

"We absolutely adored this property as an escape from our normal lives and being able to get some peace and quiet. The facilities were incredible as well as the surrounding area, checking in and out could not have been any easier and the owners could not of been any nicer. We wish we didn't have to leave, we will defiantly be returning here in the future. Thank you very much!!"

"We had a really wonderful stay. Hosts were attentive and communicative. The home was beautifully decorated and designed and the rooms and home in general was very spacious. Parking was always available on the street and we loved being close to shops and places to eat. The back garden was beautifully maintained. As Americans we aren't used to having neighbors so close so we didn't end up using the hot tub, but if the weather had been cooler I think we would have. The kitchen was well stocked and...

"Hotel is convenient for the city, sitting as it does almost in the shadow of the cathedral. Nothing special about the room, but big enough and comfortable, with a comfortable bed, decent TV and a clean bathroom. The breakfast was very good - nice sausages and black pudding! Another guest at my table didn't like the fried eggs - they looked OK to me! Hotels are judged on their breakfasts, certainly by me anyway, and this one was good! Convenient car parking but was an extra cost."

"We chose to stay here for three reasons: it was a half way stop on our trip to Scotland, it has EV charging points and it is very reasonably priced. However, it turned out to he so much more than that. I can highly recommend it for all it's facilities, the cleanliness, the excellent staff, the food..... everything about it is first class. "
