"The house is situated in a vineyard with fig trees growing around the house. It is a 25 minute walk up the mountain road to the medieval village of Erice. Trapani is the main town and is about 15 minutes by car down the mountain. The mountain road (SP3) is steep with hairpin bends, so it is best to hire a small car like most of the locals. "My wife and I stayed in this property for a week in May 2019. The location was rural, quiet and had spectacular views over the surrounding mountains. The property is surrounded by vineyards on three sides and an orchard and vegetable garden on the other, which we were allowed to help ourselves; never forget the fresh orange juice made from picking our own oranges. Andrea was the perfect host and brought us wine, olive oil, vegetables and fruit during our stay. If you want a break away from it...

"We had a wonderful time, it’s hard to describe how beautiful the setting is. The view and the swimming cove are perfect. The apartment is well equipped and very clean, we slept well and Hanni was very kind. We had a problem with accessing our vrbo account, and generally with communication because we had lost a phone whilst hiking, the family were very understanding.
