"The property was very much work in progress the owner had just finished with unit we stayed in but some of the rooms were low ceilings upper floor made us bump ou heads. The driveway was full of work equipment which meant that our car had to parked in the road. No laundry facilities which was a no no."

"Tolle Lage, sauber, großer Balkon. Frau Sonnenkalb war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Die Wohnung ist aber sehr renovierungsbedürftig. Unter anderen gab es auch extrem klumpige Kissen, gebrochene Wäschetrockner, nur 2 Wassergläser bzw. Weingläser (obwohl die Wohnung für 4 Personen beworben ist). "The hotel was a great value - we had a very large, clean room and were only a few minutes away from the center of the city and several excellent restaurants. The hotel itself served a good buffet breakfast (for 20 CHF) and within a 5-minute walk we found three very good restaurants. The best of the 3 was Restaurant Fiorentina, where we had wonderful truffle and mushroom-filled ravioli and risotto with shrimp. The Turkish restaurant Pinar served lamb kabobs that were the best lamb we had ever had - close to a good filet mignon. The Lebanese restaurant Za Zaa had a broad range of vegetarian dishes, including the appetizer sampler that we shared for lunch. The hotel staff are multi-lingual, friendly, and helpful. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Basel and/or overnighting before a Viking river cruise on the Rhine."
