"This house is lovely, clean, tidy and literally everything you need.Kitchen fully equipped, and lots of basics in cupboards, salt, pepper, herbs. Oils etc.. the courtyard is a suntrap and great for outside dining. Lounge is on top floor, which is a wee bit strange, but quirky, we didnt use it and spent most of time round the big kitchen table or outside. Masses of little towns and villages to visit around and near Issygeac. Bergerac 15 mins away.Local spar is expensive, but handy in an emergency, bakery is fantastic and 2 mins from house. Hair dryer gave up and owner got her friend next door to let me borrow one...life saver.All in all a most enjoyable week in the Dordogne."

"Great welcome from Eric, with basket of local goods, so kind. He showed us round the whole gite & the outside, & was available by phone or at their house at all times. Eric & Irene are very friendly, a lovely family. The gite main room is superb, beamed & vaulted high ceiling, but lots of light & doors to open. Kitchen is very well stocked, enough equipment etc for 10 people, & a lovely size room, with a great five burner gas stove. Great gardens, boules court, table tennis, swings, trampoline, all well kept. Wonderful black & white cat, who we befriended, too. Very well mannered cat!! The bedrooms were fine, & the bathroom a good size. The whole experience was wonderful. The Gite is in a very quiet place, with barely any traffic, yet only 5km from Villereal, a great bastide town with a nice weekly market (& a wicked gateaux shop!) Oh, & large supermarket on the outskirts, very handy. It’s an ideal position to visit so many towns without long journeys. Thoroughly recommend a stay at this property. "

"Everyone was extremely welcoming and attentive. The Chateau looks amazing on arrival and even more so in the evening. It has a fabulous pool area and the views over the surround countryside are stunning. Our room was lovely which also had amazing views. There is parking on site and we had breakfast booked which was good. The village is a stones throw and definitely worth going to visit. "

"After reading the reviews we decided to take a punt and book the holiday. I’m so glad we did! All the reviews (good and bad) are spot on. The property is ‘rustic’. There are no frills but the layout of the house was perfect for 2 families and it is spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need. We all forgot towels and Lucie was at the door before I had even signed off. "

"Lovely rural France, nestled in amongst fields of sunflowers, sweet corn and with some charming little villages close at hand, Las Bruges was just what we expected, rural, rustic charm in a perfect location. The property itself is more than adequate, plenty of space, lovely pool area and stunning views across the beautiful rolling countryside; everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing stay… Hugo (who looks after the property for the owner) was on hand for anything we needed and was also very knowledgeable about the local area (restaurants, amenities etc.) and called by 3 or 4 times during our stay! "The property is dated and in need of some TLC, there are things within the property that do not work such as the TV, the channel box was broken when we arrived, in spite of reporting the fault it was never fixed, there are multiple extension cords around the property, not sure if it meets basic health and safety standards. Most frustrating part is the situation with linen, although linen is provided, however, beds are not made on arrival and the condition of the linen can be best described as shabby and old, we asked care taker can we at least have matching bed linen, however, we were told the previous family had 10 guests and they used all the linen. You can enjoy the pool after you have cleaned it of the bugs. Shower cubicle needs attention as the door is cracked and we were informed that the previous guests broke it!! Hmmm! Looked broken for a while to us. Now! Good bits - if you want piece and quite this is a perfect location with small villages around the corner, wildlife and insects are in abundance, there is resident mantis in the kitchen window, wild cat that lives within one of the old barn at the back and if you are quiet you might see a dear roaming around within the grounds. I suppose! The big question- will we book again the property and with Vrbo? Answer is an emphatic NO. Vrbo did not even acknowledge the concerns we raised as soon as we arrived, in fact we are still waiting for a response! Not impressed and over priced."
