"I loved staying at this hotel. I wanted to see animals, be close to the jungle/forrest and feel like I was in nature. I saw monkeys right outside my window and monkeys and iguanas by the pool. I wish the pool were lit up at nighttime. "

"A stunning place! The bar/restaurant and pool area are truly breathtaking and have been done to a very high standard. The staff were all fantastic and the food was generally good. There is lots to explore locally including the free waterfalls you can access from the hotel, a bigger waterfall further down the hill which id definitely recommend and Marino Ballena National park. "The Falls was great. The staff were all amazing, friendly, and helpful. Location was close to many restaurants. Breakfast was great at the resort and all other food was wonderful. Happy hour drinks we enjoyed. Daily housekeeping. Pool was relaxing."

"We loved the grounds, so peaceful and lush. Huge variety of birds, howler monkeys in the distance each morning, incredibly kind, helpful and friendly staff. Delicious food, beverages and the best swimming pool ever!"

"I loved the serenity of the cloud forest and views. I really wanted a way to open a screened window for a cool, natural breeze and to listen to bird song, while still being able to lock the doors. It was quieter than expected given the proximity of the road (very few cars travel it), but also a little less private that I desired with the other guests walking by. The staff were extremely helpful and engaging - a really nice part of the experience. "

"WHATEVER YOU DO. DO NOT STAY HERE. I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE. THE FOOD IS OLD, STALE, HORRIBLE, I ASKED FOR CLEAN TOWELS AND THE OWNER AND I GOT INTO A SHOUTING MATCH. HE EVEN TOLD ME GO BACK TO AMERICA. WE CHECKED OUT AN ENTIRE DAY EARLIER AND WAS CHARGED A 25$ US CANCELLATION FEE. FOR WHAT??? Only God knows. STAY AWAY FROM THERE. ITS DESERTED, NOTHING TO DO AND NOT AS DESCRIBED AS IN THE PUCTURES ON THE WEBSITE."

"Loved the view and the service. So accommodating . Had a very nice view of the ocean and the surroundings were very nice. The only suggestion I would make is that the pool deck is very slippery with or without shoes when it is wet. Had a great time with the staff they were wonderful people. Loved our stay"

"We (4 adults in our 60s) loved our stay at this very secluded and architecturally elegant place with a huge view across the jungle to the sea. Pool was a perfect temperature and delightful, and separate bedroom wings provide extra privacy. Birding from the private bedroom baconies was fantastic (toucans, tanagers, etc.) Road leading to the house was implausibly rutted and steep but just barely manageable. Overall, a total delight to stay here."

"The property was beautiful, but it needs some new appliances (Microwave needs replaced (old & dirty looking) and Stove/Oven had one top burner that didn't work at all) Refrigerator was okay. People that provide maintenance for the property should always check it out prior to guests arriving. The bunk house room and bathroom were full of ants upon arrival. "The location of the hotel is great - right next to the national park and close to Playa Espadilla. Staff was super friendly. As the hotel is on a steep hill, the hotel offered a transport service up and down. Breakfast was good. The hotel also organised a tour guide for us to guide as through the national park as well as a Catamaran tour. And also monkeys came visit at the pool, which was really cute. All in all a great experience. "

"We greatly enjoyed this property. The natural environment is gorgeous. I would recommend for anyone seeking a quiet place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We heard the howler monkeys, visited by white face capuchins, entertained by a friendly coati and spent time identifying many different birds. I was nervous about the driveway from the reviews. Don’t let that hinder you. It is totally doable! The fresh fruit was a welcome touch. "
