"KOKO Hotel is conveniently located in a shopping and convention center, close to the castle and downtown areas. The room was very well equipped and large for Japanese standards. Staff very kind and helpful. I happily recommend the place."

"This is a very creative hotel with unique guest rooms but watch your head as the upper level is the sleeping place so the living area below has a low ceiling. Very interesting and creative but found it somewhat different to navigate at night as you need to go down the right stairs to the bathroom. The staff is excellent and very helpful and friendly. "Everything about Nihon No Ashitaba was so incredibly beautiful, serene, and thoughtful. They offer a free shuttle everyday to Yufuin station where you can walk, shop, eat, and enjoy Yufuin. "I love that this hotel was completely different than what I expected. Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised by the bed & breakfast style of the hotel and the nostalgic memorabilia displayed throughout the hotel as well. "We booked the hotel the day of the trip as we had change plans due to Typhoon Haishen. When we entrance to the hotel was blocked with a rope and they did not answer the phone. There was noone to get any information, we did not get a cancellation or a notification. We were left in the typhoon with nowhere to go and struggled to find anything for hours during when the weather got really bad. "reasonable price to stay away from center for travelling by car. clean villa. fit for group of friend and family."

"Very special property that we loved. We stayed in January and esp loved the onsen and subfloor heating. Check in was easy enough because there was the option of online pre-registration. The road to the house was windy but not too bad - note that the GPS in the rental car may not show you the way. We used Google maps and got there without difficulty. We were thankful to have a 4WD and snow tires, because there was ice on parts of the road. Highly recommend the place!"
