"I thought the decor was pretty funky, but it worked. Everything was clean, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and access to the coffee machine 24/7 was a very welcome perk. The location was perfect. All said, it was a bit pricey but probably not relative to other Haarlem hotels. "

"If you’re looking for a place to stay in Haarlem, this is the place to be. The staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful. Our room was great, and the space was clean. The location was great for us. It’s right across from the train station as well as where the busses come and go. Personally we never had a problem with noise from the station. We liked that it wasn’t downtown but still close enough to restaurants, cafes and shopping. It’s within walking distance to everything. Definitely recommend to stay at the Lion D’Or and hope to come stay again in the future. "
