"Many details in the landscaping, architecture of the buildings, and evidence of care given over the years to the upkeep of all buildings. A real pleasure to stay at such a well-presented property. Many bird varieties are seen from the veranda, and there are other fauna on the 320 hectare reserve."

"I enjoyed a two night stay here after traveling from Quito. We arrived late at night and they were very accommodating. I enjoyed the charm and greenery of this place. Sara was friendly and provided us with a delicious homemade breakfast in outside in their garden. I highly recommend this place. "

"This lodge is located off the beaten track. It takes about 20 min to get here from Mindo on a narrow dirt road. The accommodation is basic but nice. Staff is small but very attentive. My cabin was spacious with one queen sized bed and three single beds (two of them in a loft). Nature around the lodge is beautiful."

"This is a fantastic hotel. Very peaceful and beautiful, located in the jungle on a hill side next to the river. From the cabins there is a great view over the beautiful garden and tree tops. The river water is clear and perfect for a swim. The service and hospitality is outstanding. "

"Incredible. Such a wonderful place to stay in the Mindo area. Really tucked away in the forest but only a 20-25min walk or $3 cab to the town. We stayed in the upper level of the lodge which was wonderfully positioned to watch the birds. Excellent service really recommend. "

"A precious, accommodating property with pool access straight from our room. Suite had everything we needed. A little piece of relaxation and tranquility in Mindo. Would recommend to anyone and everyone, especially families. We hope to come back one day. "

"Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve and Lodge is an amazing place to stay. They have extremely knowledgeable birding and wildlife guides and the people who work there are super nice. The food is great, although the options are limited. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. Ours looked out into the cloud forest. Don't expect a luxury experience. This is a fairly remote location that is ideal for nature lovers and particularly birders. I would recommend getting a package if you go that...

"This is a beautiful property just outside of the main town of Mindo on a dirt road. It’s very quiet and you will hear the sound of birds and frogs. We saw quite a few different birds just sitting on the porch outside our unit. The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The grounds and dining area are beautiful. The included breakfast is good and it’s nice to have the option to have dinner on property if you don’t feel like going out. Wonderful stay in Mindo. "
