"The road was long and windy to get there, but the welcome and beauty of the place vastly made up for it! The property is less than 30 minutes from the center of Santiago, located in a green valley. The main house dates from the early 18th century, with thick granite walls, and has been wonderfully restored with all modern comfort (including good wifi!). "It's a great location but be aware that many rooms face in to a roofed courtyard and this feels airless. If you want to look at try to ask at Reception. My room was fine and comfortable but I wished I'd asked for a city view "

"A very old stone building very nicely renovated and modernized. Our room had small windows but the stone fireplace and old sink were gorgeous; the A/C worked great. We had the hotel breakfast one morning--it was fine, reasonable cost; but there are plenty of cafés nearby as well. Alda corp evidently runs several similar hotels in Santiago. "
