"What a great space! It is meters from the port, which made location perfect for my trip. Owner very helpful and friendly, responded very quickly to any concerns. "Expedia's property address was for a business office, which didn't have any nearby parking, and it was closed when we arrived. There was a sign on the door in Italian, which we do not speak, and a telephone number. A kind young woman used her cellphone to call the number and talked to the manager, who did not speak English. We waited about ten minutes for someone to show up and walk us to the B & B, about three blocks away. Once in our room we had to make our own way back to where we had left...

"Chose property based on proximity to ferry terminal and reviews. We are a 2 minute walk away so we can sit in the roof deck and go over just before boarding - avoiding heat and crowds of the port. The room was unexpectedly elegant, perhaps the best room we have had in Sicily and for the price the best. We had an excellent dinner recommendation (Doppio Gusto) 5 mins away. Breakfast was served on the very pleasant roof terrace. Overall excellent "

"Emergenza incendi in Sicilia. Comunichiamo a Expedia e al titolare che non possiamo andare, chiedendo il rimborso o almeno lo spostamento della prenotazione. Ci viene negata. La prenotazione era in modalità non rimborsabile, dunque era legittima facoltà del titolare tenersi i soldi già incassati e respingere la richiesta. Ma in tanti anni che viaggio in giro per la Sicilia e per il mondo non mi era MAI capitato un gestore che a fronte di una grave emergenza non venisse incontro al cliente....

"We loved our stay at Villa Margherita from beginning to end. The on-site caretaker, Natale, was as helpful and generous as the other reviews captured, without being intrusive in the slightest. We used the pool daily, walked down into town for pastries and shopping, and were even treated to a pasta-making class by Chef Nanni, who lives up the hill. And those views! You build your day around sunrise and sunset because you don't want to miss them."

"It is very noisy at night ( Friday ).The bar next door plays loud music with people drinking in the street until 2am.!!!! Finally they go home at about 3am. It is such a shame because everything else is so good. I can not recommend it for this reason."
