Rooms are simple, clean, air conditioned but the property is where this resort shines. 2 pools one cold and one hot, hot tubs, golf course, walkways and so much history!"

"Stayed for our first night on arriving in Costa Rica. Transport from airport to the hotel was provided and excellent. Room was very comfortable with good air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent. Amazing pool area. We have booked to stay the last night of our holidays and will definitely be taking a dip in the pool. "

During a very difficult time—our son required emergency surgery at nearby Clínica Bíblica—Jason showed incredible kindness and support. He anticipated our needs, accommodated every request with genuine care, and consistently checked in to ask how our son was doing. I sincerely hope Gran Hotel recognizes what an exceptional team member they have in him. Beyond Jason, the porters and concierge staff were also excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional. The food at the hotel was very good, with the brunch standing out as a highlight. The location is ideal—within walking distance to several museums and just across the street from the National Theatre. All in all, a fantastic hotel in a prime location. You really can’t go wrong here. And if you have the chance, be sure to ask for Jason."

"The room and bathroom were immaculate and roomy. We had a wonderful dinner in the hotel restaurant up on the 4th floor looking out over the city. We ate in the lovely outdoor dining area surrounded by bougainvilleas. It was the best good of our trip to Costa Rica. The breakfast buffet the next morning was very nice with many options and excellent service. "
