"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"nice pool and the A/C works great. The negative side the shower head needs to be replaced and the host were fighting/arguing really loud at 1am to the point the husband had to sleep in the other container. Made it very awkward to say the least and unprofessional when you have guest. Would not stay for that reason."

Self check-in, after hours, was easy, and we found the lovely grounds and pool to be an oasis. We made our own simple dinner and had everything we needed to prepare it. "We had the most amazing time at Casa de la Loma. We arrived and Ana and Freddy were there to greet us and when we walked into the home just as the sun was setting it literally took our breath away.
