While it was a quieter time of year, I actually appreciated the tranquility and had a great experience exploring the area without the usual crowds. The staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. If you’re looking for a serene retreat, this place is a hidden gem no matter the season. "It was great to stay in a historic old home. It was totally comfortable and though I would be considered elderly I don’t come to Italy expecting not to have to climb stairs or do a lot of walking. The breakfast was basic continental style but everything served was above average. I wish there had been some Kleenex as noses of the elderly do weep more than we want them to. I was within easy walking distance of all I wanted to see and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again and I hope I do. "
