Wonderful traditional villa in a stunning location
The very quick summary: if you want a nice big villa, traditional (versus modern), nestled in the hills with stunning views, clean pool and a 10 min drive from stunning beaches. This is the place for you. We LOVED it.
The detail: Toni, the owner, Ibizan born and bred, is just a wonderful man and nothing is too much trouble. He clearly loves his garden, flowers and vegetables, and he handpicked a plate of veg to help us through the week.
The bedrooms are air conditioned, but since it is high in the hills, breeze keeps the other rooms cool.
A superb BBQ awaits for anyone so inclined and Toni has all of the tools !!!
Inside there is everything you need for a couple of week, very well “kitted out”.
Outside, a couple of great corners to disappear into and enjoy a good book.
I would highly recommend a hire car, as you will struggle without one.
The village of Sant Carles de Peralta is beautiful and very local. First night we were welcomed in bar Anita by really genuine people, despite only getting there at 11.30pm on a Saturday night, food was still being served. Visiting there is a must.
Everywhere in Ibiza is accessible, with a run to San Antonio, a mere 40 mins away.
So many nearby beaches only 10 minutes away, we could have added another week to our one week trip - just to get through them.
The only “con”, which probably applies to the whole island, is the internet speed at a couple of meg. If your family has the expectations that they can all simultaneously stream Netflix - that isn’t happening ! However, there were 3 of us and young son was fine watching YouTube. Us old folk used 4G, where there are two or three bars with vodafone, so plenty to get by - be sure to upgrade to “unlimited” 4G before you leave the UK (or at least a good package) !
We loved the villa and we loved this part of the island ! It has displaced Kefalonia as our place of choice !
