Beautiful penthouse with many facilities and a spacious terrace (80 m2) with chill out area in a two-family house where the bottom house is not inhabited. Access is by appr. 30 steps directly from the street, where you can easily park. The holiday home has a comfortable and bright living and dining room with sea view, a first-class, fully-equipped kitchen, a modern and airy bedroom with large built-in wardrobe, a small second bedroom with 2 single beds and 2 modern shower rooms. The highlight of this penthouse are the stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, the village, the mountains and the chill out area. Two natural beaches in town are easily accessible via walkways. The pebble beach is located about 600 m away and the sandy beach 350 meters away. For hikers, the location offers a variety of hiking trails in the Anaga mountains directly from the house.

It is expressly forbidden to hold events and parties, as well as the access of people not listed in the reservervation. It is also requested to respect the neighbours, not making noise from 22.00h. onwards.

Nada que ver con lo anunciado. La terraza con un mobiliario deteriorado, sin sombrilla, sin cojines, las luces iban a pilas y éstas no funcionaban, para mí era el mayor reclamo y fue un engaño absoluto. La limpieza muy deficiente y el mobiliario mal conservado y faltaba un sofá (en la foto hay 2), además el que parecía más cómodo. La habitación pequeña daba a una pared a la que llegabas a tocar con la mano y tiene lámpara de noche pero ni un enchufe en toda la habitación. La sartén con "costra". Tengo fotos de todo lo que digo. El acceso con muchas escaleras. Además, ni siquiera el detalle de una botella de agua fresca en el frigorífico. Y sobre todo, la explicación de la inmobiliaria LAMENTABLE (tengo guardado el wasap), aunque al final, accedieron a devolvernos 150 euros.

La casa de Emma a slight disappointment

Overall we enjoyed our stay at La casa de Emma. Positives:- A lovely quiet location away from the touristy spots (shame about the constant barking dogs). Lovely walks available around the village and to the beach. Negatives:- The following comments may seem quite insignificant individually but when viewed overall added up to a feeling of disappointment. The ceiling light pendant in the second bedroom was hanging precariously and did not work. Only two mugs provided for 4 people. The description by Homeaway states:- “You can easily park in the street outside.” At times this was difficult. “suitable for elderly and infirm”. This is not so as there are many steps to negotiate in entering the villa. “DVD player radio and satellite/cable TV available” None of these were available for the first week of our stay and were very limited for the whole duration. “The bottom house is not inhabited” It was inhabited during our stay. “Two modern shower rooms” The shower compartment in the larger bathroom was in desperate need of replacement and the shower tray in the smaller bathroom was full of cleaning materials and tools. “The accommodation has a spacious terrace.” No mention is made of the fact that it is in fact the roof and is accessed by yet another external flight of stairs. Top Kaneran were contacted during the booking and whilst we were occupying the property about some of the above and I was extremely disappointed with their lack of communication throughout. As an example, I asked before we left home whether there was any welcome pack of essentials and if not, where was the nearest supermarket. No reply was received. When we arrived we discovered there was no welcome pack so we had to drive back along the same road we had just used to get there in order to buy some essentials. This road was a challenging 4 miles of hairpin bends and the return trip could so easily have been avoided if a reply had been received from Top Kaneran.

Phantastischer Ausblick von der Terrasse auf Berge und Meer, aber im Innern....

Um auf die Terrasse zu gelangen mussten wir die Wohnung verlassen und einige Stufen auf das Dach. Die Kiste für die Kissen auf der Terrasse war unbrauchbar, da beschädigt, so dass Kiissen immer aus der Wohnung nach oben und zurück genommen werden mussten. Die Toilettenbrille war wackelig und mußte erst mal von uns befestigt werden. Die Duschkabine war schwer gängig , das Plexiglas aus der Halterung gedrückt und unsauber. Das Plexiglas konnte ich wieder in die Halterung einfügen. Der Schrank unter dem Waschbecken aufgequollen, konnte schlecht auf und zu gemacht werden. In der Küche vermissten wir das Eisfach. Der Eisschrank war ausgeschaltet, die Gummidichtungen schmierig. Wenn er je funktionsfähig war, fehlte die Bedienungsanleitung. Eine Küchentür kam uns beim Öffnen entgegen. Ein Vorbenutzer hatte vergessen die Bratpfanne zu reinigen. Sie war fettig und schmierig. Die Betten waren gut, wir konnten super schlafen. Die Wohnung ist in die Jahre gekommen . Wir hatten etwas Besseres erwartet nach der Beschreibung.
