It is located right next to the boat ramp (which you will need to take across the lake if you are arriving by train, 8 euro per person for round trip) and is convenient to all cafes, restaurants, shops. Hotel staff was very welcoming and friendly, offer luggage storage for before and after your check in! Heads up on visiting Hallstatt during January - several shops and activities such as the bone house and sky walk were closed until February. Still plenty to see and do, but a lot of the things we wanted to do most we were unable to. Not all closures were accurately listed online. "

"Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful for our entire stay. Our check-in experience was exceptional with helpful directions and assistance with getting my wife's luggage to the room. At breakfast the staff were extremely attentive and the buffet was great. Room was quite spacious and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend."

"This was the perfect place to stay during Christmas. They have a historic movie theater attached which we attended, also an excellent Italian restaurant where we ate 3 times, room was updated and with a beautiful bathroom. Easy taxi ride of about 13 euro, to the hotel and back. Very good breakfast, and being in old town adds to the experience. Very friendly staff as well."
