Arrived 12/4 around 9pm and check in was a breeze, I had the first room on the left as you enter and stayed till Friday 12/6. Since the room is right next to a busy street there is allot of noise in the early morning. It is a busy area with restaurants shops and schools/universities so its is busy and loud which I do not mind but I did have trouble sleeping. The person at the front desk was kind enough to move me to the back and after that I was able to sleep. There is a review that claims that they go through your luggage so I left my luggage a certain way my first night out and when I came back around 2am I noticed that my luggage was moved. I bought a bottle of water and toothpaste and toothbrush from the front desk and it was fairly priced at around 3 dollars total. I like the area as it is busy and full of life and you can walk to restaurants and the library in the centor historico. It is not fancy by any means but it is a good place to get some rest, just watch your stuff and stay vigilant. Weather was perfect so there was no need for ac, I just used the fan and the tv had espn and plenty of channels. I did not spend much time in my room as I only used it for sleeping and showering. They do close the main entrance door around 11pm but this is normal for most hotels in ELSLV, all I had to do was ring the door bell the the front desk person would always open. My overall experience was great as it was just me by myself (male) and never felt uncomfortable.
