"The staff was so wonderful and warm to (Jaime Melo and Sal and Nonno Baglieri) special gratitude to Ritonela Federico and Biagio. They helped beyond expectation to all our needs. "What a lovely place to spend a leisurely afternoon and evening. Dinner was spectacular and so reasonably priced. We took a couple walks and sat outside on our lovely patio area. One warning though -- do NOT leave your shoes or any clothing outside. We had a pair of drying socks and shoes and a bra munched on (one shoe was actually taken away to be found completely demolished the following morning) by the cute but wily Sicilian foxes living onsite! "We are 30 years old couple and stayed one night in La Maddalena. The place has a warm athmosphere but is a bit old dated. One person from a kind staff spoke english during our stay. We ate a good dinner from a short menu. There isn't own pools as mentioned in hotels.com (which is not a surprise however) and bed was very unconfortable in the room with no window. The breakfast was very italian with several choices."

"KATASTROF. Vi har rest mycket under åren, men aldrig upplevt något liknande. Den bild Hotels.com visar, finns inte i verkligheten. Poolen var tömt och skulle fyllas först i mitten av juni. Hela poolområdet med omgivande park var uppgrävt. Nedfallna träd och grenar låg kvar runt poolen. Rummet var rent och fint. Frukosten bestod av en kopp fruktte med några skorpor med marmelad. Måndagen skulle dessutom restaurangen vara stängd, vilket skulle innebära att vi inte hade tillgång till kvällsmat !!!...

"Pros: nice small pool, the view, the waves 10-15 meters from house, friendly owner. Quiet headland location, Scoglitti village 10 mins drive with basic amenities nice grocers and bakers etc. No tourists in October. Informal and simple lifestyle for a chill out. Accoms for 11 in a 3 bed and 4 doubles. Nice outside sun area overlooking the Med. if you want an unsophisticated chill out place for a large group away from it all then this would suit. Beach access 2 mins away but littered as are many...

"Le Maria is a very nice house with a wonderful pool and garden area. A happy herd of cows lives on the other side of the garden wall and the clanging of their bells gives a tranquil countryside feel. The owners Graziella and Sara were extremely helpful and responsive. We did not have the problems with electricity mentioned in other reviews. The kitchens (there are two) are generally well equipped but some more pots, pans, kitchen knives and chopping boards would be good to have."
