And the proprietress was lovely. We went to a wine tasting first at Gambino Winery 7 minutes away which I highly recommend. This was the perfect location for that. "We spent two weeks in a villa and enjoyed visiting NorthEast Sicily as well as Aeolian Islands. The place is quiet and yet just 5-10 min away (by car) from the nearby town and motorway. We tried local olive oil and it was veeeery good. That was the last week of September plus first week of October sso evenings and nights were pleasantly cool."

"When we booked the property, our priority was firstly a pool so that our six year old daughter could further her swimming progress. Secondly we wanted to be central so we could visit Naxos, Mt Etna and Palermo. The property is central but sadly upon arrival, we were greeted to the sight of the very friendly female caretaker washing the dirty terrace and a very grumpy male caretaker fishing insects out of the pool which was filthy. "The stay had much to be desired. Check in was at 2. When we arrived at 2 we were told it would be about another hour as they were not ready. It was about 35 to 40 mins and the room was ready.
