"Beautiful property in an amazing location, with amazing views from the room and common areas. Don’t forget to check the upstairs pool area, which has even better views. The hotel restaurant is excellent. I was a bit disappointed with the steakhouse Kinik, down by the shore, so I recommend you stick with the main restaurant. I also took the private motor boat to the pueblos; although pricy, it was worth the convenience. The concierge gave me good and accurate recommendations I highly recommend this place"

"Everything was wonderful. The only thing was we had to leave early (6:30am) on the day we left and were told someone would come help us with our bags but no one came. Usually this would be okay but the stairs were too steep for us with our luggage to do on our own. "

"Second time at La Posada de Don Rodrigo and I would come back again. The place is beautiful with an amazing view to the lake. The staff is extremely nice and always ready and willing to help. They have a lake view restaurant with excellent traditional Guatemalan food. The pool was clean, the patio was also clean and nice to rest on the hammocks. The staff helped us get a boat to cross to the towns across the lake and we had a great time. This hotel is in a very convenient street which you can come out at night and buy stuff, food, see the lake and take amazing pictures. Parking on site, WIFI, museum on the premises and restaurant. Excellent place I would recommend for a family trip. "

"IT is the most beautiful hotel, the property is gorgeous. It's like being in a botanical garden. Pool and jacuzzi is great. It is super clean. The only downside is that i though the food wss mediocre. I look forward to coming back."

"I love the location, convenience and atmosphere - quiet, beautiful garden setting with spa setting in back. Only draw back is the room was not well-lit. Overhead lights, designed for two bulbs, only had one. We asked for another bulb, maintenance was sent. At first he said he did not have the "tools" to replace bulb. DUH. We showed him they covers come off by hand turning a small know. He then said he did not have authorization to add a second bulb. Seemed a little petty to scrimp on the bulb and electricity. Charge me an extra dollar a night so I can see in the dark corners of the room."
