Find your Sol in Belize in our newly redesigned 4bedroom/4bath home that sits on over 450' of private beach and overlooks the Belize Barrier Reef that is a mere 800 meters offshore. Located 8.5 miles north of San Pedro town you'll enjoy that private island feel but have easy access to nearby restaurants, bars and grocery. This well appointed home is made up of beautiful décor to include custom artwork by Belizean artist Leo Vasquez and custom made Belizean hardwood furniture designed and built by Fernando Polanco. Rental includes use of our complimentary kayaks, SUP's, snorkeling and fishing gear. Life jackets are also available.

Enjoy a stress free vacation as your stay will include a personal on-site chef for any and all meals that you choose to have on property as well as a 24-hour on site caretaker, groundskeeper and daily housekeeping. ALL OF THESE SERVICES ARE INCLUDED in our daily rates. Our on-site chef is available to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner if you choose to dine in. Groceries for these meals ARE PROVIDED and purchased prior to your arrival, AND AGAIN ARE INCLUDED IN OUR DAILY RATE. The only additional fee for these services is $25.00 per day for each guest (over 4) for food cost and preparation. In additional to breakfast, lunch, and dinner we provide filtered water, coffee, tea, milk, fresh squeezed juices, and fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables. Alcohol, mixers, soft drinks and any other particular snacks that you may need are not included in the daily rates and can be purchased at one of the many grocery stores on the island after arrival.

Our chef's kitchen comes stocked with a full pantry and fridge for meals customized to your liking. Again this IS INCLUDED in your daily rate and shopped for prior to your arrival.

Our spacious and open floorplan is designed for comfort. Lounge in the den area on our oversized sofa and enjoy your chef prepared meals around our large dining table or sitting around the bar on custom made Belizean hardwood barstools.

The home is equipped with mini split air conditioning in each room as well as Wi-Fi and Cable.

Three of the four bedrooms include en-suite bathrooms which allow the guests more privacy and convenience. Wall mounted televisions and Mini-split AC units are included in each bedroom as well as custom closet space. Two of the bedrooms offer a queen bed each as well as en-suite bathrooms with shower/tub combos. The largest bedroom offers two queen beds with an en-suite bathroom (large walk-in shower) and French doors leading out to the screened in portion of the veranda overlooking the pool and beach. The fourth bedroom (with bathroom across the hall) offers a king bed.

Outside you can enjoy a large covered veranda with access to our infinity pool as well as a partially screened in area while relaxing on our outdoor furniture. Step out back onto the veranda overlooking our custom made barbeque pit while your fresh catch of fish, lobster, and conch is prepared for you in traditional Belizean/Mayan fashion. Or choose to enjoy this experience around one of our handmade custom picnic tables.

When not lounging by the pool with a refreshing cocktail you can enjoy our hammocks that hang over the water just steps off of our white sandy beach. A perfect way to soak up that Caribbean sunshine. Our private pier is the perfect setting to watch the beautiful sunrises over the Caribbean on our handmade swing or sip your cocktails on our custom made bar top and barstools under the thatched roof palapa.

If you'd prefer a little more adventure we have complimentary standup paddle boards, kayaks, snorkeling and fishing gear, and lifejackets. You can fish off of our private pier which offers shade under the thatched roof palapa or paddle out to the reef and snorkel for a view of beautiful corals and sea life, and dive for fresh conch and lobster when in season.

If you'd like to venture out we can offer a day of fishing (flat, reef or deep sea) with one of our boat captains who will pick you up from the property. In addition to fishing our knowledgeable boat captains and tour guides can show you around the island for a day of snorkeling, diving, and sightseeing. Adventurous excursions to the mainland like a visit to the Mayan Ruins, ziplining over the jungle canopy or cave-tubing are also available with pick up from our private pier. The services of our boat captain and guides are available for an ADDITIONAL FEE.

For those who dive you can also experience world class diving adventures to one of the many dive locations around the island. Again, all of this is available, for an additional fee, with pick up from the property with one of our knowledgeable boat captains and dive masters. Not yet certified, but would like to be? We can arrange certification here on the property in our private pool with a certified PADI divemaster.

In the mood for a relaxing spa day while enjoying the sunshine and beach? We can make that happen. We bring the spa to you with a number of options including massage, manicure, pedicures and facials. Additional fees do apply.

Golf Carts are the main mode of transportation on the island and we have 4-seater and 6-seater carts available to rent during your stay. Daily rate are available as well as a discounted weekly rate. A great way to explore this beautiful island paradise.

Travel to Belize is easy with many direct flights from the U.S and Canada. Once you arrive in Belize City I recommend a short puddle jumper flight with Tropic Air over the island into San Pedro Airport. This is a 15 minute flight over beautiful turquoise waters giving you a bird's eye view of the many islands and cayes. This is an adventure in itself! I will be happy to make arrangements for your Tropical Air flights upon booking if you would like.

It is necessary to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test upon entry to Belize if not fully vaccinated. COVID testing for return to the U.S. is no longer required.

Beginning February 15th, 2022 all visitors entering Belize are required to purchase Belize Travel Health Insurance. This is a mandatory insurance that helps protect travelers against incurred medical and non-medical expenses, if they test positive for COVID-19 during their stay in Belize. This policy is $18 USD per person and must be purchased through the Belize Tourism Board https://www.belizetravelinsurance.com./
Anyone entering the country that has not purchased this policy prior to travel will be required to purchase it at the International airport upon arrival into Belize City.

Casa de Playa Solmate
Solmate is an incredible home with top class service from Tropic Air bookings, transportation, Doris and team welcome. They took care of every need. Food was a delight prepared with love from Doris. Paradise on Earth!
Cannot recommend this place enough! It was literal paradise on earth! Fantastic property and staff
I can’t say enough about the quality of this property the staff. Dorris, Hill, Barney and the rest of the staff made this an one of the best vacations our group has ever enjoyed. Wow!!! What an amazing place. We loved everything about our stay in Belize. Doris and Ash were amazing. We enjoyed tons of excursions but really enjoyed snorkeling and fishing with our beach BBQ. The location was beautiful and we loved the ease of being able to kayak and paddle board right in our backyard. Every meal Doris prepared was fantastic. Thank you for such amazing memories.

Awesome vacation
This was one of the nicest VRBO's I have ever seen or stayed in. The owners were very welcoming and helpful throughout, the cook/chef was incredible and always available, and the grounds were impeccable, even when weather was less than ideal. The owners have obviously taken great pains to ensure all is done perfectly and safely, and were always able to guide us to the next tour, event or restaurant. No expense was spared on making the home a modern, well equipped rental property, and we had a spectacular time spending a week here. Absolutely be back.

Everything was as is in the description. Doris and her team are amazing! We took traveled from one end of the island to the other. We needed to be rescued as the golf carts do not like puddles! We Swam with the sharks and stingrays and Spent a little time on Caye Calker which left us with wanting more. We will definitely return.

We took out family of 7 to San Pedro for a week and are SO PLEASED with everything about this property! Pam and Bob the owners were very attentive and great hosts, the cook Doris was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, the groundskeepers groomed the beach every morning, we had unlimited hot water and the home was very clean and recently renovated. Pam and Bob helped to arrange the golf carts, the pre exit covid tests, and everything inbetween. We couldnt have asked for anything more, and we will be back!

DONT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE!!
If your credit card hasn’t already caught fire booking this place, you might want to get on it!! This house is perfect. We felt more than at home here from the very first minute. Doris is the most amazing BOSS LADY and this place wouldn’t be what it is without her. Pamela and Bob Taylor have put together the most wonderful crew and are truly some of the most generous and caring hosts we have ever come across. There is so much more to this place than just a vacation destination. It is a true trip of a lifetime experience. We loved every single minute. Don’t miss the mainland cave tubbing! A Gem in Belize!
Casa de Playa Solmates is perfect in every way! It is about 20-30 minutes away from San Pedro, Secret Beach, and Margaritaville/Tranquility Bay by golf cart, so centrally located for the most part. Even though those places are great to visit, you couldn’t ask for a better place to stay than Solmates. Quiet, secluded, relaxing and yet with all the amenities one needs. Beautiful beach expertly cared for with hammocks both in the water and on the beach. Refreshing infinity pool. Fishing from the pier. Small grocery stores minutes away. In D Wild nearby if you want a beverage or some food away from the property. Solmates even has their own gift shop with locally made items. Doris and her boys are the most kind and helpful people and we definitely enjoyed getting to know them! Hill was also wonderful, from picking us up at the airport, arranging our diving excursions with excellent guides, and sadly taking us back to the airport. Solmates just has everything! It is the Gem of Belize!

Our trip started off with missed and delayed flights! When i tell you if it wasnt for Ms Pam being so calm and accommodating I would have cried! Pam and Bob have truly created a place that all you need to do is pack your bags! After walking in the doors i forgot how crazy my last two days were. The house and the view are stunning! Possibilities are endless of things to do or just hang by the pool and relax! People arent lying about the staff they make you feel like family! I will say Ms Doris is a gem not only is her cooking out of this world she would give you the shirt off her back. She is a wonderful woman especially since she put up with my father lol! Beautiful newly remodeled home with attention to detail and great Chef!
We loved our relaxing stay here. The home is newly renovated and very nice. The included chef and groceries are what really set it apart and make for a relaxing, worry free stay. Doris was amazing at accommodating our vegetarian needs. She made fresh food every day and customized the menu based on our preferences. She demonstrated a lot of flexibility. We used the kayaks provided, which were fun. We also rented a golf cart one day to go into town and to secret beach. The roads are bumpy, so we were happy to just do this one day. Pamela the host is very responsive and was kind to arrange all our flights to the island and golf cart and boat taxi. We look forward to coming back in the future. Thank you!

Wow !!!! SolMates is a one of kind. The owners have thought of every wish you could want. First they have an amazing leader. Doris, not only can she cook she will help you with anything you should need. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were the highlights of the trip. She is an amazing person. Barney is at your becoming call, if need anything just ask. The crew keeps the grounds very clean. Hill picks you at the airport, provides you with an endless amount of excursions. We went bar hopping and to the secret by boat with Jimmy and Bull. Great trip. One day was fishing and beach Bbq with George and Mario, again great trip. The boat picks you up at the house dock. We spent so many hours in the pool. We were planning our next trip before we even left. We will be back sooner rather than later.

Wonderful Experience
We have a group of 5 with ages ranging from 38-62 that usually does at least 2 trips a year. Spots include places like Cabo, USVI, Hawaii, etc…. Belize is now on the “must return” list. Although we thoroughly enjoyed our day trips and adventures, it was Doris who put this spot over the top. To say that she puts love into everything she does is an understatement. Food is all made from scratch down to the dough and even the pasta. The dishes we’re creative at times and down home simple yet fantastic for others. The owners Pam and Bob live in the house next door and made sure we knew to reach out if we needed anything. Pam is who you’ll communicate with during and post reservation. Both of them are folks that you would want to invite into your home for dinner and drinks. Great spot and even greater people running everything. Can’t wait to go back.

I chose this rental to celebrate my 40th birthday... My husband and I have been to San Pedro in the past prior to our children and really wanted to be able to share our love of the island and people with them! This house, which turned into a home for a week for us, brought us back in the most simplest and wonderful ways to our fondest memories of Belize! Between Ms. Doris and her food made with love, stories, and care of us, to Josh checking in on us, making sure we felt safe and sharing his puppy Queen Zelle, to Hill with No Worries Dive Shop making sure we were being adventurous, helping make sure we had great dives while snorkeling with our littles and meeting his family, we felt at ease and like they extended us as their family! This house and the staff here made our vacation spectacular, I'm not sure I could stay anywhere else after being here! We thank the owners for their hospitality, attention to detail, and admire you for attracting such beautiful, good hearted people!! We hope to see you again soon!

Our UNBELIZEABLE Vacation
We had the most unbelizeable vacation staying at Casa de Playa Solmates. It was exactly as advertised but even more amazing than we imagined. The property was immaculate and the scenery absolutely breathtaking. The only complaint we have is that the days flew by way too fast, and we were not ready to come home. From snorkeling, fishing, soccer, volleyball, kayaking, paddleboarding, visiting Secret Beach, going to the mainland to go cave tubing and to explore the Mayan ruins, going into town for dinner at the Truck Stop, going to the chicken drop, having a massage at the end of the dock and exploring the surrounding areas to unbelievably delicious meals made by Doris and Lily. What a treat it was for me (mom) to not have to worry about cooking which allowed me to fully relax and unwind. They spoiled us each day with homemade meals that were absolutely fabulous. One of our most favorite parts of our trip to Belize were the people we met. Doris, Lily, Barney, Sebastian, Emilio, Walter, Hill....they work hard and go above and beyond every single day to make sure that we were having the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation. They are absolutely amazing, and we will cherish all the memories we made with them. It was definitely hard to say goodbye. Thank you to Pam and Bob for creating a hidden gem for others to enjoy. We will never forget our time spent there and look forward to one day when we have the opportunity to return.

Incredible vacation... 100% recommend
We had an amazing stay! Casa de playa Solmate is absolute perfection - we are already talking about trying to go back for another visit. The house was the perfect size and you really never have to even leave with the pool, oceanfront, dock, beach games and hammocks all onsite. Although of course we did leave to go exploring and be out on the beautifully colored water. As for service, Doris, Emilio, and Barney are THE BEST! They and what they provided far exceeded our expectations. Emilio made sure we wanted for nothing - took care of anything we asked with a smile - and Doris kept us stocked with our favorites and cooked us a several delicious meals. She is a talented chef! From the initial booking until the day we left the property, the owner and staff took great care of our family. From airport reservations, golf cart rentals, Pam communicated clearly to remove any stress and uncertainty. It was seamless and very well-planned. The house was actually much better than the online pictures. It was clean and spacious as our family was never cramped for space. The property manager kept the beach clean and the trash removed daily. If you book this house, you will not be disappointed!

Paradise
What an amazing week we had at Casa De Playa Solmate! The house was clean and beautiful. Better in person than the great pictures posted. The property is breathtaking. We couldn’t get enough of the views. We joked among ourselves we have 20 of the same picture because waking up to the view left us speechless daily! Pam the owner was very informative, replied quickly, and ensured we had everything we needed both before leaving and while there. We were lucky to meet her and her husband, they are both so warm and genuinely nice. Doris is the heart and soul! Her cooking combined with her sweet, mild manner was the icing on the cake!! Meals were all so fresh, so flavorful, and beyond our expectations. We did do 3 days of excursions- ATM caves, snorkeling, and a combined tour of Mayan, monkeys, and cave tubing. These were run by Noworriesbz.com. The owner Hill was so great!!! Accommodating and knowledgeable! He worked with our group and matched everyone’s personalities. My kids thoroughly enjoyed Hill and he matched us with the best guides. We all felt so blessed and had an amazing time. Waking to snow at home this am was not a fun return to reality! Lol.

A PERFECT Family Vacation♥️
I cannot explain in mere words how much we enjoyed our visit to Casa de Playa SolMate!! Everything was perfect!! Pam & Bob have an awesome place and I can’t thank them enough for allowing us to experience their paradise!! Thank you so much Pam for being accessible and answering any strange question I came up with!! The love and attention that goes into this property is unparalleled on the island!! Our stay wouldn’t have been as perfect as it was without DORIS!! She kept us fed with awesome Belizean cuisine and was always available if we had any needs, questions, or problems. Doris is the heart of the Casa and we love her!! Barney was always on hand for anything we needed including tours of the property, a paddle to the reef, and walks along the beach… even if we stood him up. Sorry Barney!! We came for my husband’s 50th birthday and everyone at Casa de Playa SolMate went above and beyond on his special day!! Special request dinner, a fantastic birthday cake & decorations beyond anything we could have expected!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! We absolutely love EVERYONE at Casa de Playa SolMate and consider them part of our family!! We will be back next year and hopefully every year after!! You Can't Not Love Casa De Playa Solmate
You are going to read review after review raving about Pam and Bob's place, Doris' cooking and comraderie, the rest of the teams hard work and attentiveness to detail. It's going to seem impossible to believe. There's no way a VRBO experience in Belize can be that perfect. Pam and Bob must write these reviews themselves right?? Believe the hype. Playa de Solmate is gorgeous. It is incredibly well run from first inquiry to your ride back to the airport when headed home. Pam and Bob have thought of everything. They truly want to make your vacation time as relaxing as possible. We had 4 couples on our trip. We like to party and play cards and making noise was no problem. We like to lay on the beach and relax and you won't see another person all day if you don't want. The home is immaculate and comfortable. The beach was clean everyday thanks to the hard work of Emilio and his guys. If you want to never leave the house, you will have everything you need. If you want to venture out on the island, you can do it on your own or use the tour guides to arrange it. Don't think twice. There is no way you will find another property on Ambergris Caye that measures up.

A sliver of paradise!
We spent Jan. 1st- Jan. 8th, 2022 at the beautiful Casa de Solmate. From the moment we walked in we felt like it was a home away from home. Doris, the chef, was incredible! Her cooking was amazing, she was helpful when we had questions, she kept the house immaculate, but more than that, she was so very sweet! We will miss her! The house was beautiful and very comfortable for our big family of seven. The pool and beach area was cleaned every day and the perfect space to hang out and soak up the sun! I really have nothing negative to say. The things that were drawbacks were mainly natural, uncontrollable aspects- it rained a few days and was quite windy, so we lost some outdoor time, the gnats could get nasty if it wasn't windy and the road into town are pretty bumpy with a golf cart. If you are looking for a party/town scene, which we were not, I would recommend staying closer to or in town. The water directly out from the house is very shallow and weedy, but if you go out a bit, it is beautiful crystaline water. We did one 1/2 day snorkeling excursion that was awesome and so easy to set up with the assistance of the staff. They took care of our return covid tests by having a nurse come right to the house which was so convenient! They have really thought of everything! Pamela was so sweet and helpful, always available if I had any questions or requests. I highly recommend Casa de Solmate if a little slice of paradise is what you are looking for!

Best Trip Ever
There are no words that can accurately describe our family vacation at Solmates ! From the moment we walked in the door, we knew our time here was going to be epic. Doris greeted us with a spectacular display of delectable food immediately upon arrival along with yummy coconut cocktails. I think we all agreed that Doris’ cooking is unmatched ! Not only is she an amazing chef, she’s also the most beautiful human that we all are better for knowing . I literally can’t say enough about her! We had most of our meals together over the most delicious dishes any of us has ever had ! The entire staff at Solmates is amazing! They all made all our stay comfortable and relaxing . The house, the grounds , the beach - all way beyond our expectations. We spent lots of quality time together by the pool. The weather couldn’t have been better! When it was time to plan excursions, No Worries Tours was flawless in planning absolutely anything we wanted! In record time ! We saw the Mayan Ruins. fed Howler monkeys , went cave tubing , snorkeled (spectacular) , fished, and so much more ! We even got a family tattoo !!! Yes they planned that too ! Pam and Bob - you guys have created a true paradise at Solmates. You both are so kind and gracious- it’s obvious that everyone at Solmates is family . We feel like we left our hearts in Belize when we departed Wednesday! So we’ll be back again next year ! So much love to everyone at Solmates!!!! Don & Brandy and the Kids :)
