"I felt compelled to write a review, because the host, Irma, was so exceptional. She knew that we were coming in without a car, being dropped off by Taxi, very late in the evening, and it will be difficult for us to get any food that evening and for breakfast the next morning. So she happily offered to go to the grocery store and buy some food for us and put it in the fridge. Wow. Also, each day we would get fresh eggs from her farm, and fresh baby tomatoes. So delicious. "Villas del Rio is very well managed--I can't say enough about how good their staff is and the facilities are really nice as well. I've seldom been this satisfied with a hotel stay, but they were outstanding! I just had the basic one-bedroom booking, but still it was like a small apartment. Don't hesitate to stay there. "

"This property was amazing , beautiful setup . Street that it was on was very empty not much traffic. Police do casual just stroll pass but it makes you feel really safe!!! Only downside is reception doesn’t speak English , they are very kind but you will need translation app if you or your group doesn’t speak Spanish. You do need reservation for jacuzzi but that can be booked downstairs in lobby. I would definitely stay again"
