"This property is very beautiful in an even more beautiful setting. Walter (property manager) was extremely responsive to requests and Jim the owner was quick to answer messages. Our entire family enjoyed this property. A few things to note the road getting there is extremely rough, when they tell you that 4 wheel drive is required that is not an overstatement. You will want to make sure you have everything you need before you head to the house because getting into town is not a small feat....

"Could not have asked for a better experience.The house is comfortable, the grounds are lovely, air conditioning in each room, nice grill, fully stocked kitchen, the area to sit by the river was the best! Could watch egrets flying by to roost in the morning and at night. Marlon, the grounds keeper was knowledgeable and helpful.Olga the owner was helpful and accessible. "We stayed here mainly to visit Mayan temples in the region. There are 2 super markets in a 2 min walking distance and because we had a rental car we did not mind not being closer to downtown San Ignacio. It is not that far, but for walking it is. The house had all needed facilities and functioning appliances, but don’t expect modern state of the art US style appliances. Overall good value for money."

"Getting there was tough as Google maps would only locate the street using the civic address, it recognized the house name Casa Castellanos. Location. A car is needed, the house is located in the suburbs, and is not walking distance to anything.The roads in are not very good an SUV is recommended.Within driving distance to Cahal Pech, Xunantunich, Ajaw Chocolate, the San Ignatio Market and many wonderful restaurants and supermarkets.The house itself was comfortable for 2 couples and had most of...
