"The Maya Mountain Lodge was our jungle oasis. It is a two minute drive from Santa Elena and less than 10 minutes from San ignacio. We stayed in Agouti which had a good sized bedroom with a 2 person table, bathroom and a kitchen in the porch area. The kitchen was set up with a microwave , toaster, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, gas stove, and oven. We cooked several meals there which is always a welcome change from eating out all the time. We also had our own outdoor area with a picnic table and hammock. The grounds were a tropical arboretum with a lovely variety of plantings. We paid a nominal fee for a bird walk around the property. Levi helped us see 24 species including stunners like the collared aracari and the keel billed Toucan. The staff was very helpful helping us schedule outings, do our laundry ($10 USD) or recommend a pizza place. The pool area seemed fine but needed better seating. One night a concert in town was so loud that it kept us up until 3 AM - not the Lodge's fault exactly. Otherwise it was very quiet and restful."

"I am leaving all 5 star rating because this property was by far the most affordable place we stayed in during our one month trip to Belize! The pool is fantastic and warm and the food options are delicious and reasonably priced. Our cabin was not fancy but it had all necessities and was clean. This is not a fancy resort but was great value, especially with the fridge and microwave. The reception staff was super friendly! "

"For the budget, this place was excellent. The rooms were clean, showers were hot and powerful, the grounds were pretty and included both a pool and a pond with pretty trees. The Drift Inn isn’t the Four Seasons but it is a good place to spend a few days. HINT: get a pina colada at the pool bar - they’re delicious."

"The beds were the best of our trip. So comfy and cold AC. Some of the staff is less than excited to be there, but they get their job done. Great location and price."
