We brought in a chef for a Tuscan cooking class and the kitchen was well appointed. Parking the car was easy. Very modern bathrooms. Two wonderful rooms for group gathering areas inside. "This house is very nice. It is centrally located outside Siena and good location to explore all over Tuscany. It is off the beaten path so you’ll definitely need a rental car. Even just to get there. It is remote. Which is a plus but also has some drawbacks. We went in March so pool was closed. Too cold to swim. House is several levels. Kitchen and dining room are downstairs. We cooked several simple meals after going into town to grab groceries. Nearby town is nice. Not a lot of restaurant...

"This property is beautiful inside and out. If I remember correctly, there’s 20-25 people currently living in Barbischio. It’s peaceful with fantastic views to the west over Gaiole. Gailoe is less than 10 minutes away with access to grocery, meat market, several restaurants and gelato! The location is perfect with access to the train in Montivarchi in 25-30 minutes. Radda, Volpaia, Greve,,Siena, San Gimignano…all close. We will stay here again. "

"Stayed here for 14 days. Generous space with lots of room for multiple guests. We didn't realize the villa was two separate units. This was unexpected as we thought there would be a central indoor staircase. We made it work but we did feel separate from each other. Eduardo brought us lovely treats from a local bakery a couple of times which was very kind. You definitely need a vehicle to stay here. While it says there are a few things in walking distance we felt the car was necessary....

"Santa & Giovanni were wonderful! Anything we needed help with they were always available. Even gave us a ride to the train station! Fresh fruit & vegetables were plentiful! The air conditioners worked very well. It was very hot while we were there for 5 1/2 weeks. The pool was very refreshing. They even cooked for us along with their son & daughters help. We would definitely recommend you staying at this lovely home. It was very private, but the town was only 5 minutes away. "
