"The property's location is much more remote than advertised.. We booked it as we were attending a wedding close to Gaiole and the property description says "15 minutes from Gaiole". The 2.5 km forest road took at least 10 min to get to the main road and from there it's a minimum of 20 min to Gaiole ( if you drive Italian style). No taxi or transportation company will go to the property, so forget having a drink somewhere in town. Also, no wifi at the property and the cellular reception is also...

"Could not have asked for more the grounds, the house, the hostess, the surroundings . . . All just beautiful and wonderful. Felt like I could have spent a month there. The hostess was so nice and so helpful. On the last night we had the chef and owner from a local restaurant, Mimo come and cook for us. It was like a movie. He was such a good cook, so nice. Sat down and talked to us and had a glass of wine . . . It was wonderful, felt like we had a much better understanding of Italy."

"I have to say the view drom the property was great nothing but forrest and bordering the national park.Cuckoos in the morning and evening, Jays, Hares, Wolves, although we did not see any of the wolves as they have been re-introduced to the national park. The road to the place was a bit of a bumpy drive but we got used to it. Bibbiena the nearest town was great that is the old town with several bars and retaurants. "Travelled to this area many times before. Familiar with properties in the area, many with gravel drives. Add made no mention of the road condition of the driveway. Four adults in a small rental car - took three attempts to get up the initial part of the driveway, each time having to precariously reverse back out. "Words can't can't describe how much we enjoyed our stay. Anna became one our family and ours hers. She brought a doctor to the unit so I was able to get a needed prescription. She stopped by daily to say hi and we learned to use translate to communicate which was lots of fun. The grounds offer plenty of privacy. Sienna is not far and Multapulciano"

"We have spend almost 8 weeks in thuis house and it was wonderfull. Beautifull house, great hostess, wonderfull nature and a picturesque village with a great restaurant. It is so quiet, the online sound you hear are the birds. What more can you ask for? Laura and Daniella are perfect hostesses, they made us feel very much at home. "Our stay at Florence Hills and Resort was great! Service was amazing, all staff was very attentive. Nice pool size and outdoor lounging and seating area to relax after walking around Florence. The suite was comfortable and very clean. We had dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed a great meal. We had the ham and cheese board, the risotto with pears and almonds, and the Fiorentina aka a huge T-bone steak. Can’t forget to mention the astonishing views of the mountains, so calming!"

Just great one night

"Room was cozy, easy access, free parking and very friendly staff. Breakfast was plentiful and coffee was good. We had late night arrival and leafy early. Only thing in negative side was the fetter pillows. First time ever in my hotel night, me being allergic, wish I did have a choice. "

"This Villa/hotel was everything you need when staying in amazing Tuscany. The rooms were very spacious and romantic. The hotel grounds are ample and very well kept, it looks like a beautiful canvas. The front desk lady named Marina was amazing with the check in process and very helpful and informative. The only issue we had was the food Wich was not to our liking but that’s expected as they don’t have a real dedicated fully operational restaurant so it was fine. There is plenty of options around in Radda and Chianti wich should be explored. Would definitely recommend and come back."

"Lovely hotel, beautiful interior design, fantastic food and service! We loved our 4 day stay. The property is well located in the Chianti region; lush deciduous forests, orchards, vineyards and a stream nearby. Beautiful old stone buildings have been carefully adapted to create a serene oasis to sit back and enjoy the views of the valley below. The staff gave us a warm welcome and took care of our every need. The restaurant is outstanding! Every dish had been carefully shaped to have delicious layers of flavor—home made everything, best food across the board of our trip. The interior design deserves special mention—muted colors pulled from the surrounding landscape, really an excellent lighting design with great contemporary sleek lighting fixture choices, comfortable furniture, beds and bedding…well placed art. Not cluttered, very welcoming and relaxing design. It all works to weave together a special place like nowhere else. Will be back again!"
