"This is an amazing Villa located very convenient to Lucca, especially by train. The grounds are immaculate and include a pool, bathhouse, tended garden, and producing olive trees in the back. The front balcony offers a view of Pisa including the leaning tower. We were given the Music room, which is grand with high cooing and large balcony. "I was disappointed to find out that this hotel was tucked away in an awkward location. I read that it was a 15 min walk from the leaning tower of Pisa but it is actually a 15/20 minute drive instead. "Worst place I stayed in Italy. I wouldn't call it a Hotel, looked more like an unused building with an interesting history. It is in a very remote area with no transport facilities. One has to rely on taxi or cycles! It had bed and shower facilities, that's all. No restaurants, cafe or shops nearby. There was a very old looking broken drinks machine. Felt like the owner made no effort to make it look appealing to customers. Very disappointed. "

"We stayed in one of Giulio and Marco’s new apartments for a week and had a fantastic time. The amenities, pool, olive groves and sunsets are beautiful. It was easy to get to Pisa and Lucca (20 min) each. Giulio was extremely generous with his time, giving us a detailed tour of the farm and explaining how he is planning to increase biodiversity. Both he and Marco also provided lots of helpful tips on making the most of the area. Definitely recommend!"
