"The language barrier was definitely an issue. We were greeted in the street by the off-site host who was upset that we were planning to check out early even though we said we were paying for the extra night and despite the fact that we had emailed June 22nd that we had to shorten our stay. This is not a typical B & B. It consists of 4 rooms and a shared kitchenette on the same floor as 2 private apartments in a multi-story building above the pedestrian area. No blow dryer or iron is provided....

"We had an incredible surprise when we arrived at 9pm after a long day driving from Rome. Rosalia is a wonderful hostess! She welcomed us so well even though we booked with a little less than 2 hours notice. The room is spotless clean and recently renovated. Bathroom has basic toiletries and even a hair dryer. "This is the converted top floor of an apartment block, so it isn’t obvious from the street. However, once you buzz in and find your way to the 5th floor, the view is stunning and the facilities are excellent. The owner gave us advice on what to see and where to eat; we then walked down to the Main Street and explored the shops and the open air art exhibits, before making our way to the old town and La Cantina Cosentina where we sampled traditional local food and wine for a very reasonable price....

"The owner was very helpful in responding to us. We enjoyed the quiet location where we could relax and do laundry when we weren't spending time with our friends nearby. We did bring our own toilet paper to supplement what was left in the house and we paid a bit extra to have bedding and towels provided. All in all, it was a very desirable location. Our children liked the proximity to a beach and the nearby market."
