"We had higher expectations - and I don’t mean luxury. This is a very basic property, lacking many amenities you’d expect in a 3* star rated property (e.g. tea making facilities in the room) and maintained with little attention to detail. "We were looking to enjoy the mountain views of a quiet, Italian country side. This place had it all! The beautiful soul who was governess of the estate- Amelia- cooked us a DIVINE breakfast and helped us feel so very welcome! Can’t possibly say enough about her talent! Five stars!"

"Well, we arrived at 730pm.. no one around? We called and he had said he just left? So, basically the property was unattended? He claimed he waited til 7 .. I hadn't confirmed any time as there was no communication available through vrbo. Quite the sad experience.."

"There was no at the reception desk. The property manager accused me of lying about my kids because there were 2 single beds joined but we were 3 people. My daughter had to sleep in the middle of the 2 beds . The pillows were uncomfortable . There was 1roll of toilet paper. I had to go buy my own. I had no internet service. The kitchen was somewhat clean but you could see their storage room that was messy Nd made kitchen aesthetically unappealing. The night table and desk shelf was dusty ."

"Great stay. We arrived to a warm greeting after a much delayed train trip. Reception gave us good advice on places to visit, eat, get groceries. I left my ipad behind and they contacted me immediately so I hadn't left the station. Great service."

"Nice location and easy access to the city center - all attractions. Walking distance for great food street. Regarding Hotel - very nice, awesome and courteous and very helpful - from doorman, to bellmen, front desk as well staff for the breakfast. Highly recommend for the quality stay in Palermo. "

A haven in the middle of Palermo

"The hotel was centrally located. It's a grand old building with beautiful marble decor and glorious chandeliers. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The rooftop restaurant was a delightful fine dining experience at a good price. "

"Fantastic boutique hotel/BB. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the welcome was great. Our room was large, clean and well appointed. We were overlooking the street below, with a cute balcony. Noise levels were fine, even with live music and a vibrant nightlife on the doorstep (just make sure you close the door properly!) We'll be back to Palermo, and we'll be back to Boutique B&B Vintage too! "
