"Great layout and space inside and out. Beautiful, clean home and newly remodeled. Comfortable beds. Pack & Plays available for the tiniest guests 😀. Well stocked. It seems the owners thought of everything - like phone chargers in every room, ample bath towels so you never have to worry about not having a clean one available, and lots of things to entertain yourself with. Loved playing the family games available at the home. Friendly neighbors. Owner was super responsive and helpful. Just a couple things to be aware of, the water had dirt in it during our entire stay (4 nights) so I had to shower my young kids rather than bathe them (it was super brown when I tried bathing them). The boat lift is not available for guests’ boats even though the picture on the listing shows it empty. Wasn’t a big issue for us, but something worth knowing in advance. I should have verified, but was rushing to book when our previous reservation cancelled on us last minute. Overall we absolutely loved the rental and would definitely consider renting again for our annual Thanksgiving trip to TX. "

"Nestled in the woods near lake Livingston ,Tx just a few miles from Coldspring , Tx is a true gem . The Bungaloo has a lot of character with modern amenities . Deer , squirrels , hummingbirds , and numerous lizards are available to entertain. The large windows allow you to enjoy the woods and creek , and cattle can be seen grazing in the pasture across the way . The host , Howard Ransom was very helpful , readily available via email or telephone . I highly recommend this retreat, and will be using it again "

"Was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There are steep stairs so if you have really young children or bad knees it might not be the best option for you. My kids loved it and thought it was the coolest experience. The castle itself does have a bathroom with shower, a full size refrigerator, and a full size stove/oven which was not on the listing. The guest house also has a bathroom and kitchenette but no stove/oven in it. Host had everything needed in the kitchen, pots pans utensils etc…and was very responsive. Would definitely recommend staying here. "

"This house was amazing. Pictures are very accurete. It was a family vacatin, kids loved it. There was everything we needed, pool, fishing, games and pool table. The kitchen is well equipped. The management was very responsive"
