"I went to Goa after 10yrs! Booked LA after landing. I wanted to stay in a typical Goan/Portuguese home instead of a hotel. LA everything I expected and more. From the ambience of restored charm, to the frinedly and helpful staff Jokin & Patrick were exception in guiding me to places, arranging transportation, to allowing me for a late check out. "Mateus had charm for sure and it is in the extremely picturesque Fontainhas neighborhood. Lots of photos to take just strolling around the area. However, there are some downsides about the hotel itself. One is that it is one of the many places in India where they push two twin beds together to make a supposedly queen or king bed. "Arrived on the Thursday, accommodation owner had no knowledge of my arrival and I was forced to contact hotels.com for the issue to be resolved. After this stay went ok. Room was clean and sheets changed without having to ask after 3 nights. Around 10 minutes walk to the beach but not an issue for me. Nothing stands out so an average stay. And for £18 a night not bad. "

"The hotel staff mislead us for pickup from airport. They refused to clean the room as we checked in after 7 by saying that they don't do cleaning at night. The staff was very rude no proper backup in case of power cut and we had to suffer for hours without AC or fan. Even the TV didn't worked and no dedicated staff for cleaning and other services."

"We were moved to a different property called Casa Seaesta at the last minute as there was a “short circuit”. Even a two star rating is overrated for this property. The entire property is cheaply built and maintained. The pool photo on the website is from the adjacent property. The guests are smoking everywhere on the property including the restaurant. The guests are drinking booze in broad daylight. The staff are poorly trained and dressed. The fittings inside the room are old and cranky....

"Front desk was ok while check-in. Restaurant for dining and breakfast was amazing. Abhishek & Aman were 2 outstanding incharge at the restaurants on first floor that went out of their way providing excellent service. House-keeping was amazing. Great team. Keep it up"

From the moment we arrived, the phenomenal staff made us feel welcome and at ease, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. After a challenging journey from London fraught with visa issues, my anxiety vanished the moment we stepped into the resort. The warm smiles and genuine care of the staff were truly comforting. "It was aamazing stay. The staff were hospitable right from the word go. The moment we reached we were welcomed by Alisa and her colleague and they went through a well run check in service. Food was excellent and on our day one we were welcomed by Aftab introduced us to Tempora , a traditional Goan cuisine restaurant in the village square. Aftab was excellent throughout our stay and Karan & Mahabe ensured that we were well looked after. There were different culinary options available including the Royal Afgan grill and the Kebab section. Soma in the spa was equally skinned and welcoming when it came to Ayurvedic massage. We would strongly recommend staying at ITC grand Goa. "
