"The property was pet friendy, great for our 2 small dogs. The view was lovely and the water just accross the road. The beds were very comfortable too. However, the house was quite tired and unkept. The garden unloved. There was rubbish left out back, lots of ugly weeds, pegs on the ground and rubbish in a dust pan. There was bits of rubbish under the furniture inside, under beds and sofas. Some cooking utensils were not cleaned properly. Towels were provided but no hand towels or face...

"This property exceeded our expectations. With everything we needed plus some extras for comfort. Located right on the water, we even had some fishing success. The beautiful artwork was an added bonus."

"We really enjoyed our week as did our miniature schnauzer. The home presented exactly as described - spotless and with ample crockery, cutlery, pantry items and dog accessories. The view was amazing with dolphins present. The beach was minutes walk away and dog friendly. The property being not fully fenced was a minor issue. Property manager Deb was a great communicator. We will definitely be back"

"We came to do walking in the south east of Tasmania and to see the auroa australia. We were able to do both even though the weather was a bit of everything. A lovely deck overlooking the beach and sea. A nice pub 5 mins walk up the road so we didnt have to cook dinner. A really peaceful and quiet area."

The heart of the home is an open plan living and dining area with two sofas that flows onto a sprawling private outdoor space.

"Spent a week in Tasmania. This location was perfect, with shopping and restaurants close by. Just a quick ferry ride over to Hobart and everything we needed was close by. The host, Jackie was responsive to all our questions and the house was wonderful. We definitely plan to come back again."

"We loved our stay at this property. The location is lovely and the house was a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery and a great base to explore Bruny Island. The house is well equiped and comfortable and communication with the host was easy. Thanks for having us!"

"We stayed in January with 5 people for 4 nights in two of the bay view lodges. They were located side by side, so spending time together was no problem. We were extremely lucky with the weather and never needed the heating. However even if it would have been colder that wouldn’t have been a problem as there is heating all ariund the lodges. It was very quiet and we could enjoy the calm of the Tassie bush. The lodges were spacious and clean and the bathrooms efficient. Breakfast & Dinner at the Bay Restaurant was outstanding and the staff friendly and nice. Stewart Bay Lodge is the starting or end point for the cape boat tours, so the jetty is right there. The boat trip around the capes is a MUST! Stewart Bay Lodge is the best place to stay in Port Arthur especially when it comes to meals. Don’t look anywhere else. "
