"If you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a “Tiny house,” here’s your chance. Yes, it served its purpose for a quick get away and in need of a place to stay/sleep and explore the surroundings. The property manager Brian was very easy and pleasant to contact when I had a couple of questions. It was very clean and had all the essentials. "We enjoyed the deck at El Refugio. The beds were also comfortable. Nice location and view of Ensenada. 4 stars on cleanliness because there were a few really dirty spots (top of glass over stove and top of fridge) where a simple damp sponge would have done wonders. Hot water appliance also failed and was tricky to get hot water. But we were able to contact on-site person and owner and everything resolved to our satisfaction (I was able to take a hot shower). "Me and my wife had a great time at this location, place was clean had a lot of room and a great view, we will be going back for sure!"

"We got married at Las Rocas 25 years ago. We love visiting, but it's pretty run down. Staying here is a wonderful alternative. It's close enough for us to visit but this place is beautiful and comfortable. The pool and amenities are great."

"The home has a beautiful design. We felt very safe. It is located near the beach. Host is responsive and helped guide me to the home when lost. Definitely a place to retreat and be at peace. Only 30 minutes away from the city, but right next to the beach. "

Hidden gem

"This is definitely a beautiful place to stay. Although it was difficult finding it at first. Our GPS took us to the town about 9 miles north. I contacted the hotel and right away they sent me a pin location. It's about a mile of somewhat rough road to get to the vineyard. But once we got there it was definitely worth it. The place is not huge but it's big enough that you have privacy and enjoy the place without walking too much. We were there Monday -wednesday and felt that we had the vineyard and restaurant to ourselves. Which was wonderful. Thursday onward is their busy days. The restaurant was so pretty and big. Chef Eduardo made the best food and really connected with us and explained his ingredients. Their wine tasting room is so cute and aesthetic. The wine bar only opens on the weekends and the pizza bar by the pool too. The cabin was so cute and rustic. The only thing I didn't like was the strong smell of detergent on the bed sheets. I'm just sensitive to strong scents. They are super pet friendly. We will definitely be back. I don't know how full it is during the weekends but if you want some peace quiet and privacy and are okay without some of their amenities, early weekdays is the best place to go. Oh and their wines are amazing!"

"So the property hallways look a little old and worn, also keep in mind walls are paper thin you can hear your neighbors TV, conversations etc now on the flip side the hotel is super safe, you can only go in if you have a hotel wristband, the parking lot has a guard 24/7, the pool and pool area are clean, and the restaurants food is descent"
