"My wife and I are regulars to Troncones. We decided to spend two nights at this more "remote" location just to see if we would want to return with a larger group, since there are six bedrooms. The common areas are larger than the photos make them appear. The beach is lovely, and quieter than other Troncones beaches, which is saying something. "Michelle's penthouse checked all the boxes for a perfect stay and definitely earns a 10/10 review. The ocean view and soothing wave sound is amazing. From the open air palapa we watched the surfers and occasionally spotted a whale swimming thru. We enjoyed the many excellent village restaurants and recommend the Troncones Cooking School (and restaurant) to learn the ingredients, techniques in traditional Mexican dishes. "Tucked on a hillside overlooking Ixtapa, the villas are a peaceful spot to settle in to after your day at the beach. Most days started with the 4.5 km walk in to the main market area near the resorts , along a biking/walking pathway between Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo. Cab rides home at nite typically cost 120 pesos , Rooms are spacious and beds were comfy king size. Owner and staff were quick to respond to any requests , including laundry if you’re staying longer."
