"We (4 adult and 5 kids ages 8-12) had an amazing week here. The house is lovely with plenty of room for us all and the swimming pool is amazing. Best of all is the incredible view from the balcony where we ate everyday. The area is stunning and only 5 mins drive to the beach at Saint Martin. There is loads to do including lots of places within 15 minute drive. We would highly recommend"

"positiv: host is very kind view is exceptionnel (straight view of the mont ventoux) no direct neighbour quiet neighbourhood great pool 11m long House outside looks like on the pictures. negativ: more than 5min walk to get to the center of Vaison-la-Romaine beds are not very comfortable ( mattress maybe too old?) air conditioning is only one unit! Not enough to keep the temperature pleasant. Above all when there are 40+ degrees…even at 30+ the air conditioning had some problems to cool down....

"A fantastic property!! The house was well equipped, well presented and very clean. The property felt very private with it’s own excellent pool and driveway. Phillipe, the owner, lives behind the house and we thought he was brilliant! Helpful, friendly, informative but in no way intrusive. The house is perfectly situated. We visited Avignon, Nîmes, the Ardèche and the beaches of the south coast which were an hour and a half away. There is excellent river swimming on the doorstep and the cascades...

"The property is well located for all the great sights that Vacluse has to offer. The property is spacious and modern with a exceptional kitchen and bathroom. Please note that there is no WiFi (4G is available) or linens & towels. There is a good outdoor pool and eating area, but we declined to use as the road noise was at times, intrusive. "

"The property was clean and tidy, with a lovely outdoor terrace. The pool was a welcome relief from the scorching temperatures, and after a hot day sightseeing it was lovely to take a refreshing dip. The gite is located an easy 10 minute amble into Vaison - a bustling market town with all the facilities one could need. There are some quirks - there is only one loo, which is downstairs whilst the shower room is upstairs. There is also no wash hand basin in the loo. Also, the VRBO listing states...

"Absolutely loved this place. Completely isolated, so peaceful and quiet. Loved the large jacuzzi/pool, ideal for cooling down from the summer heat. Great location with fabulous views. "Great little house attached to a larger villa. Nice and cool in the hot summer with thick walls and aircon in all bedrooms. A short walk to the very clean pool with plenty of loungers and shade or sun can be found throughout the day. The pool is shared with the larger attached house but we had it to ourselves most of the time. "We loved our stay at Fred's house. Fred is great with communication. He responds really quickly to my texts. His house is located at the base of the medieval village, about 3 minutes from the Roman bridge. It takes no time to get anywhere in Vaison from this house. My husband and I took trips to different places every day, but loved coming back to the house, sitting on the little balcony and watch all the action on the street. I loved the view as well."

Pool was dirty and not cleaned by the hosts despite being there for 14 days 4.garden chairs so old likely to break at any time. Host did not respond to any of our comments/complaints. Escalated through VRBO and still no attempt by host to rectify in terms of apology or partial refund. Very expensive for what it it. Needs care and upgrading."

"Check was good and quick. The accommodation was up a flight of steps, the place looked like a 1980 time share, just needed tlc, having said that, it had living room/kitchenette, separate bedroom and bathroom. The balcony overlooked the swimming pool and open area, and views of a golf course. Very quiet area. Bed was comfortable and clean, linen and towels were sufficient. No on-site restaurant or shop."
