"We used Granville as our hub to explore the Normandy area in France. We rented a car and stayed at Hotel des Bains for five nights. The room was clean and comfortable. We had our adult son along so we book the "Superior Family Room side sea view" which was excellent. Our son had his own area with a privacy curtain. Our balcony looked over the sea. We had a great stay."

The breakfast was the standard bread, pastries, cereal, fruits and cheese. The location was easy to find, and a great spot to stay if planning on visiting the town. The town is close enough to walk if you want alternative options for food."

The meals were simply small microwaveable dishes, plus some extras. Better than nothing but not worth 23 euros apiece! That is absurd for what we got. "A great location in the town for seeing the tourist sights. A clean, well designed space with lots of history. The hotel has some lovely communal spaces and situated next to a great restaurant. Staff are very friendly, accommodating and made our stay a lovely experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"This hotel is situated above the main area of the seaside so it's a walk either up or down quite a steep hill to get to restaurants and shops- good for keeping fit! The staff were excellent and helpful but we had to change our room when the shower broke which meant we were moved to a smaller room. That spoilt our stay a bit as we had a lot of luggage and stuff."
