However, Mele (the nearest town) was a little disappointing as most of the businesses were closed for a few weeks while we were there, in August but we had a lovely stay and the owner was very helpful."

"We fell in love with this farmhouse as soon as we arrived. It is beautifully decorated, light, airy and a home-away-from-home with all the comforts. Perfect for time away to relax and recharge. Emmanuel and Camille were very helpful. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful holiday."

"Patrick's home is a renovated farmhouse that has been lovingly restored. It has three good-sized bedrooms, all with a double bed and ensuite bathroom. There is also a separate bathroom downstairs. However impressed you may be by the pictures, they don't do the house full justice and it is even more beautiful when you arrive. There is also a large garden, with outdoor eating space. Absolute peace and quiet are very much the order of the day, but if you feel the need for noise then there is nobody...

"This rather isolated house was a bit hard to find at first, but it is very well situated with both privacy and sweeping views in mind. We were a bit far from the crowds celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Normandy invasion, but the drive up to the coast was only marred by the huge crowds and all of the dignitaries present for the occasion. "This place is a hidden gem just outside the city centre of Bayeux. Lovely peaceful surroundings and a 20/25min stroll to the tourism hotspots. Emmanuelle & Bernard are great hosts. Very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay here"
