"It was a lovely gated community , safe and serene surrounded by nature . A bit far from train station though if you don’t have a car . Harold wood station is 9 minutes drive where you can catch the Elizabeth Line . The only concern was that a fob should be given to long term guests to get in and out of the main gate , that was a hassle . Otherwise I would highly recommend this stay ."

"Not accurately portrayed in the photos at all. Very dirty, stains on carpets, floors, ceilings, mirrors, windows. Washing machine leaking onto kitchen floor, broken showers, wardrobes broken. Over all very un kept, dirty and shabby. We most definitely will not be coming here again. No care taken at all."

"We get good responsive action when we needed the flower and front garden cut. back garden need cutting, insect started entering the house, shower curtain need to be fixed but response, we mop water everyday after shower. We stayed over 3 weeks no cleaner to clean and we paid for cleaning each time we extend our stay. We will go else where so that the house can be cleaned when we leave instead of extending it and remain in the unkept environment. We stayed that long because of nearness to home...

"The home was lovely. Had just enough amenities to make our stay comfortable. It was cozy and felt like home. Our host was kind and prompt to answer our inquiries. "

"I recently stayed at this house with friends and family. In total, we were 8 adults and 7 children ranging from 1-15 years old. It is a very big and comfortable house. It is in need of some TLC, the decoration is old but that is shown in the photos and reflected in the price. The heated indoor pool was amazing and saved our holiday as it was raining most days we were there. There were also many inflatables in the pool which was a nice touch. "We booked the place and 3 days before they cancelled it, this is what they said: "We are reaching out because the property is no longer available to be rented out. Unfortunately, this is due to unforeseen circumstances, and sadly, we won't be able to host your stay." So I logged in with another email and asked they if the place was available in those dates, and answer me yes. That makes me feel scammed also bc I had to pay for an extra insurance for the place. "Review Great Higham Barn Our family spent a memorable five days at Great Higham Barn which was the perfect accommodation for our family gathering. Our party consisted of 8 adults and 9 children and my only concern beforehand was that 6 grandchildren would have to share one bedroom. "We had a lovely Christmas in the Old Post Office,, a lovely welcoming Christmas tree all lit up in the lounge and another in the dining room. Very tastefully decorated. Our party ranged from 2 - pensioners and accommodated all of us. Jamie was very friendly and helpful and on hand with anything we needed. "

Food selection in kitchen was fab and available 24/7, never had that at a b&b before. Room comfortable and internet readily available too. "
