"A clean and tidy house which was well appointed and comfortable; mind you it was such dry and hot weather we spent most of the time outdoors. The road to the house is VERY narrow.... driving a 1966 MGB this wasn't too difficult but I wouldn't like to do it in a Range Rover!! Guillaume was very helpful both in the run up to our arriving and if we had any queries when we were there. Belves is a lovely town with good shops and plenty to see and can all be done on foot. "The house is a beautiful traditional building. It is light and airy with huge windows. We really liked the big walk-in showers in all the en suite bathrooms. The bedrooms are all quite separate (with the exception of two rooms) which gave everyone their own space. "Lovely house, extremely well equipped and clean. Fantastic pool and hot tub. Andy and Uliana were very helpful but not intrusive. We ate at two restaurants in Meyrals which were very good, also Sunday lunch at Aberge Medieval in Audrix, about a 15 minute drive away, was outstanding. Highlight of the week for food was Dimitri cooking for us, it was delicious, plentiful and no more expensive than eating out. We can highly recommend Les Hirondelles!"

"Our third stay at this villa and the first with Fabrice the new owner, who has made numerous improvements. It was good before and is now excellent. The weather for our second week was wet and chilly, so could have done with the pool being heated, but understand this is one of the plans for next year. We will definitely try to go back again."

"Lovely little propert with a larger than average pool. We were 2 adults and a dog so had plenty garden area for the dog to run around chasing hares amongst other critters. From the verandah we saw deer, kites, hares, frogs, bats, hoopae and an abundance of other birds. Supermarkets, vets shops restaurants all within about a 15 min drive. Paul was a great host."

"This is a great place to relax. The house is in a beautiful part of rural France, a very short distance from the Dordogne River, and we had a great time. "We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
