The entrance to the pool area could do with a little maintenance. The owners provide a coffee maker, but you don't know what pods to buy until you arrive. The only way to boil waterwas on the stove, so a kettle would have been useful to make a cup of tea, or chocolate."

"An old style house in need of a refurbishment or at least a very good clean. Agent late so had to wait outside being bitten by mosquitos. House smelt old. We could not open the windows without the stink bugs coming in. Complete list of contents, but no instructions for how to turn on the oven. "Montcuq is such a pretty place and this is a lovely house to stay in. The house is just a few minutes walk to a fantastic boulangerie and you can wander to restaurants and cafes and watch the world go by, all without having to drive. The house is spacious and nicely decorated, with everything you can think of for a great stay. It has a massive garden and outbuildings, so perfedt for a family. We will return, but with the whole family, as there's so many areas to relax in. A real find."

"We had a fantastic stay in this lovely, rustic property. Great for families with the pool and spacious grounds. Praysaac is also a very pretty, vibrant little town. There is also so much to do in the surrounding area. Cahors is only a 30 minute drive and there are plenty of villages, towns and chateau nearby. Everything you could wish for. "La région est superbe et nous avons fait beaucoup de marche et de visites. Nous avons apprécié le gîte et l'accueil du propriétaire. Les T° ne nous ont pas permis de profiter de la piscine mais il y a tant à faire que ce n'est pas grave! Le gîte contient tous les équipements nécéssaires et est fidèle à la description. "

"great room ,hob ,microwave,sink ,utensils, walk in shower .great reps at reception and bar area , cleaners nice and polite . all in all fantastic place to stay . outdoor swimming available if weather ok ,and the sports stadium within walking distance, big rugby area . magnificent ."

Self-check in, no humans

"I stayed here because there was a pool. When I arrived about 8 or 9pm there was a self-check-in at the gate. I was not sent a code, but a friend who spoke French called and got it for me. It was not sent through Hotels.com or by email. Without calling I would have not been able to stay here at all and would have been far from Agen with no room. It is VERY FAR from Agen, not in Agen as listed on the hotels.com site. The pool was covered for the night and opened at 8am the next morning. Check-out was at 10. There is no ice machine, no refrigerator, no hotel staff. I got up at 8 to use the pool for an hour. When I checked out the hotel front desk person called a cab for me. It was about 30 euro to get back to Agen. This is the only person I spoke to during my entire stay and she was lovely and helpful and understanding of my baby French as I counted on my fingers to tell her my room number. If you aren't prepared for this odd system, you will not be able to check-in if you arrive late. There is an elevator. There is no communication with guests. Pool is very small and was being cleaned during the one hour I was able to use it during my stay. I swam anyway, but the vacuum was underfoot and would not have been safe for children to swim."

"Wonderful location with splendid views over river from large room. We extended to 8 nights so obviously good but tiny tiny wardrobe so clothes around room. However , we saw other rooms had much larger later so should have asked to change. Excellent overall"
