"We had a fantastic huge room and bed with a large ensuite bathroom equipped with bath and double shower. The building is old so sloping floors etc expected, its like an aladdins cave, but we were happy with food, breakfast was a great portion and lots of choice. We had dinner too and a good price for what we had. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. "

"Lovely location in the countryside off the main road. Lovely and quiet, able to see the stars clearly on a clear night. Stayed in the superior double. Had an issue with the sink, but maintenance came straight away and found a make up sponge in the sink… not mine. Stayed in 301, what would make just that little bit better is a coat hook in the entrance bit and a shelf between the sink and mirror in the bathroom to put stuff on. Other than that massive shout out to the housekeeper we met who was very attentive and does a great job keeping the rooms clean, fresh and looking amazing!"

"We really enjoyed our stay, stumbled across the place whilst searching for a local area to stay. Rooms were beautiful, shower was amazing, food delicious, good selection of drinks. Breakfast was cooked to our liking. The only downside was not enough plug sockets in the room to charge phones/tablets etc but this was a minor thing. We loved the place and are looking to go again. "Brilliant stay again at the Windmill. Dinner was superb. Room was quiet and well cared for. Like many places it could do with a spruce up but the quality of service and wonderful environment make up for any minor blemishes. Food was amazing. We were staying for St Val’s night and thought it might affect our stay but it was a delicious dinner. Whenever I see a lot of options on a menu I’m concerned the quality might be mediocre. Not here. The quality of the cooking always seems to have been excellent whenever we’ve visited. "
