"This is a lovely rural property that provided us the retreat that we needed. We had the “Moucho” room which had a nice balcony and skylight over the bed. We had great meals in their restaurant and the pool area looked very inviting but the rainy day prevented us from using it. We appreciate how friendly and welcoming they were with us despite our very limited Spanish skills! "

"Gorgeous building, lovely wine, a great breakfast and really friendly hosts. However, if you're doing the Camino, it's a beautiful place to stay but Google will not help if you're walking. Ask the owners for directions, or take a cab - it will save you trying to find waterside paths that don't exist and getting lost in the woods!"

"After a long cold and rainy day on the Camino, Manuel picked us up in town. This was a life saver as we were so wet and cold from the walk. Upon arrival there was a welcoming fire and coffee and cookies. We felt right at home. We were the only guest so we were able to enjoy the family room by the fire all evening. "This place is a combination of a hostel and a hotel. Can’t rate the hostel even though I am sure that it is good. But the hotel - two penthouse suites - is a marvelous place. It is immaculately clean, has all the necessary amenities and more, the owner is obliging and nice. A five star service for very little money. Highly recommended. "

"We stayed there about 6 years ago and found it charming and classic. This stay was just as pleasant. The price was reasonable and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was great. The parking was a bit inconvenient as we had to park in the municipal lot about 2 blocks away, although it is a safe underground garage. The hotel allows you to drive up to drop off and pickup luggage. Staying in the old city, walking distance from everything made up for any inconvenience. We highly recommend this property!"

Great Stay…except for the Breakfast

"We enjoyed our stay and appreciated how helpful the front desk staff were. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint would be the breakfast…no fresh orange juice, no fruit of any kind, no eggs of any kind, no ham and cheese…these have all been standard wherever we have stayed in Spain. "
