"The door to my room did not lock automatically when the door closed but had to be locked manually from the outside with the key card and there was no way to lock it from inside the room: I was told this was a "feature" the hotel used for certain ski groups (but I wasn't in such a group). As a result, I left my room inadvertently unlocked for a whole day. There's no real security for left luggage: anyone can walk into the lounge area and take your bag. The bed was comfortable and the hot water and wifi both worked well. In-room safe was not large enough for a computer. The hotel claims to have air conditioning but there was certainly no air conditioning in my room. Breakfast begins at 8am so the hotel doesn't work well if you need an early start. The hotel did not print my Saastal card until the morning after I checked in which didn't bother me but could be a real (and very expensive) inconvenience to some people (although other Saas-Fee hotels also do this). "

"The most important thing to note is the limited hours of the front desk (10am to 6pm in the summer). This is an issue if you might arrive late or want to leave your bags in the morning after checking out. The hotel is absolutely serious about wanting you to contact them before you arrive to confirm your arrival time although the email they sent to me had no return email address. The bed (although not the pillows) was comfortable and the hot water and wifi both worked well. In-room safe was not large enough for a computer. In contrast to many smaller Swiss hotels, there's scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast. My room had a great view of the mountains. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke good English. In contrast to some Saas-Fee hotels, my Saastal card was already printed when I checked-in. If you leave luggage, it is left in the bar area so there's no real security for it. "

"Thankfully this wasn’t my first trip to Saas-Fee or I’d never go back… I’ve been going for more than 10 years and we have a place in the village but needed somewhere bigger to accommodate family. Topline… the place is well past its sell by date and the interaction with the hosts - Saas Holidays - wasn’t great. On arrival we had our apartment number on our booking and told the concierge on the phone. He said that he didn’t have the booking reference so as long as we had the number on our booking to enter the apartment. We then got a call about three hours later saying we were in the wrong apartment and somebody else wanted it. This is actually incorrect because we had that apartment number all the time on our booking it just so happens that another family wanted the ground floor because they were staying longer and it was going to be easier for them. Would be happy to change if we’ve known all of this, but we’d already left our things in the apartment and gone off for the day . During the day the property is very very dated shower enclosure very small and the shower pretty poor. The beds are not necessarily comfortable either. What really got me annoyed were the posters on the kitchen cupboard saying that if you didn’t put the cups away and leave the kitchen tidy you would be fine. Fr.75. There was also a fine for not putting all your rubbish in the tax bag which you buy yourself. As a final insult we were told to check out by 9am because they were busy!!!"
